The Surgery

The procedure to enhance the male breasts is similar to that applied to women. After applying general anesthesia, an approximately 3 cm long incision is made. Then the surgeon creates a pocket behind each breast (either submuscular or sub-glandular).

After the pockets are made, a saline or silicone implant of suitable size is inserted and adjusted for optimal position. The incision is closed and recovery begins. Many different methods can be used to perform incisions, the most common ones are:

1.    Transaxillary - This incision is made under the patient's armpit. This is the common technique for male breast implants procedure

2.    Periareolar - In this technique, the incision is made on the outer edge of the nipple.
