Tips For Choosing The Best Cosmetic Dentistry Clinic Abroad

  • Prepare a list of questions for your doctor: prepare a list of questions to ensure you receive quality treatment. Common questions to ask - do they provide a translator? Do they have patients' testimonials? Is the clinic registered with the national association?

  • Trust your instincts:  This personal element should not be underestimated since dental treatment can be traumatic for many people. Mainly when undertaken in a foreign country and in unfamiliar surroundings. You should trust your instincts as much as the raw data. If a clinic feels wrong, then walk away.
  • Verify the dentist's experience. Ask about the dentist's education, additional fellowship training, and how often they performed the treatment.
  • Schedule an online consultation. Most clinics or hospitals that work with international patients offer this service.
  • Research the condition of the clinic before booking. It's recommended to visit the clinic before booking and finalizing the procedure. Talk to the staff and past patients if possible.
  • Choose the right dentist, do your due diligence, and enquire.
  • Plan your trip well, and give yourself time to rest after the treatment.

Emax dental crowns may be used as a cover for broken or damaged teeth. An orthodontist takes a mold of the teeth and places a temporary dental crown in order to protect it until the permanent Emax crown is prepared. Then, a patient needs to wait up to 2-3 weeks and come for another visit, during which an Emax dental crown is installed.
If an Emax crown is used for dental implants, orthodontic specialists usually start by removing the damaged teeth, which could not be saved by root canal treatment or other dental treatment. After that, a dental implant is installed in its place, together with a temporary dental crown.

Later on, the orthodontist prepares a final Emax crown. Then, when the dental crown is ready, the doctor performs the dental crown procedure by simply removing the temporary dental crown and replacing it with Emax dental crown.

How is Emax Crown Procedure Performed?

Doctors usually prefer to use local anesthesia during dental crown procedures. You may feel its effect for 1-2 hours after getting your Emax crown. Additionally, in the first days of your experience with Emax dental crowns, your tooth may be a little sensitive but do not worry, it is a perfectly normal experience.

Emax Crown Abroad Side Effects and Risks

Emax crowns risks and complications are rare but can include:

  • Infection in the treated tooth – it can happen if the Emax crown is not sealed properly or if all of the decayed parts of the tooth are not removed before placing the crown
  • Allergic reaction – patients can have allergic reactions to the materials or dental cement used
  • Increase in sensitivity – some patients may experience an increase in sensitivity of the treated tooth – special types of toothpaste can be used to decrease sensitivity
  • Nerve damage – the tooth’s nerve can be damaged during the preparation phase of the procedure – in this situation a root canal treatment may be needed, along with the removal of the tooth’s nerve

It’s important to note that under 2% of patients experience complications after opting for Emax crowns or other types of dental crowns. Temporary numbness and sensitivity are counted as the major side effects of Emax crowns as well as other types of dental crown procedures.

Emax Dental Crowns Success Rate

The average Emax crown satisfaction rate is around 97%, 5 years after the procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why Should I Choose Emax Crowns?
Emax crowns are thought to be one of the most realistic and durable crowns for teeth available. For this reason, many people choose them over other dental crowns such as zirconia crowns or pure porcelain crowns.

Do Emax Dental Crowns Have Two Layers?
No, unlike other types of dental crowns, Emax crowns have only one layer, made from lithium disilicate, which guarantees that no darker spots will appear on them as time goes by.

Is the Dental Crown Procedure Long?

No, it is not. Usually, it is performed in two sessions. In the first one, your orthodontist will prepare the teeth or make a dental implant and plant over them a temporary dental crown. Then, after a few weeks, you will be called to visit the office and get your final dental crown.

How Long does Emax Crown Last?

Over 90% of crowns last for more than 9 years. Dental crowns, in general, can last a lifetime, if properly cared for.
