Inman Aligner™

Inman Aligner is suitable for older teenagers and adults that have mild to moderate protrusion or crowding in their front teeth. Especially for those that need a minor correction to their childhood orthodontic treatment after a reoccurrence. In contrast, if you need more severe work, you should prefer a longer-term treatment

The entire treatment usually takes 6 to 18 weeks. You will be required to have regular checks every 2 - 3 weeks.

An orthodontic consultation will be done to evaluate your suitability and to talk about your treatment options. Once you evaluated as suitable by your specialist, impressions of your teeth will be taken to produce your customized Inman teeth aligner.

After impressions have taken, the patient will come for a second appointment. In the second appointment, teeth will be smoothed to allow movement, and the aligner will be fitted. There may be final appointments to adjust the aligner to guarantee its comfortability.

The aligner should be worn for 16-20 hours a day for 6-18 weeks. Also, you will be asked to visit your specialist every 2-3 weeks for an adjustment. The patient should always remove their aligner before eating and then, clean their teeth carefully before using the aligner. As same as in other orthodontic treatments, retention is suggested to hold them in position after your Inman Aligner treatment.

Problems in Inman Aligner rarely occur. No report of damaged teeth or root resorption is seen before.  Feeling uncomfortable due to aligners is common for a couple of days. Also, your speech might be influenced for a couple of weeks, but you will get used to them. 

- Will it have any influence on my speech?

The Inman Aligner will have an influence on your speech for only a week or two. You will then, adapt to the material with time and be able to speak well with them.

-How often do I have to wear it?

The Aligner will work only if you wear it every day. Ideally, you should wear the aligner for 20 hours a day maximum. You can wear less, but the treatment will take longer time. In addition, you can take your aligner out for eating, photos, and special occasions unless it takes longer than a couple of hours.

-How should I care for my aligners?

Brush it with a toothpaste and a toothbrush and keep it in its box when you are not using it.
