Never expected such a great hospitality from Flymedi as a foreigner. From the time I landed in Turkey to the time I come back in my country I was treated as a friend. Thank you Yasmin for guiding me all the way. As you promised, I was not placed on the wait list.

Made my trip overseas so much easier!

Yasmin was extremely helpful, friendly and made planning my trip so much easier. I don't know what I would have done without her! She told me how to get a travel visa and luckily warned me of any travel restrictions that were going on! I had to rebook my trip twice due to covid & restrictions and Yasmin handled everything on the hospitals end. One of the times I had to rebook it was because my layover was in london and Turkey banned all incoming travel from the UK. The airline never notified me so if it wasn't for Yasmin warning me I would have gotten on the plane and been stuck in london! Going overseas to a country you've never been to before to get plastic surgery can be scary, having Yasmin made it a lot less scary knowing you have somebody there that's on your team to help you.

Recommended For Excessive Sweating Treatment with Slim Lipo

Individuals in good overall health and have complaints of excessive armpit sweating are good candidates for excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo.

Not Recommended For Excessive Sweating Treatment with Slim Lipo

If your armpits are sweating to a level that is more uncomfortable than usual, and this situation affects your life negatively, you can apply excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo by the guidance of your doctor.

Overview

Sweating is a normal and healthy body function. It balances heat, increases in times of stress, physical exertion, or hot weather, and is useful. However, many people sweat much more than usual. This is called excessive sweating and is often a condition that reduces the quality of life and causes discomfort.

Excessive sweating treatments are multiple. Depending on the patient's condition, dermatologists may recommend initial or advanced treatments. These treatments are:

  • Antiperspirants
  • Iontophoresis
  • Botox injections
  • Prescription medicines
  • Liposuction
  • Laser surgery
  • Laser assisted liposuction (Laser lipolysis or SlimLipo)

SlimLipo is a laser lipolysis procedure. It is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat at various wavelengths to dissolve body fat. It also provides quick removal of sweat cells from the body under the skin of the armpit. This innovative procedure, which is different from liposuction, helps to stop excessive sweating in the armpits in a single session.

Preparation

Patients should have a list of drugs that should be avoided before the procedure can change the lidocaine metabolism. Contraindicated drugs include blood-thinning agents such as aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. In addition, drugs that inhibit cytochrome P450 liver enzymes, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, may reduce lidocaine metabolism.

How It Is Performed

Excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, which reduces the overall recovery time associated with the procedure. Once the anesthetic is applied, the surgeon creates small incisions for the laser device being inserted. Once the device is inserted through the incisions, it emits 924 nm and 975 nm wavelengths, damages the sweat glands. The surgeon uses the device gently for treating the excessive sweating on the armpits until the desired result is achieved.

Recovery

Patients feel no pain because they are numbed locally during the excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo procedure. Postoperative pain is also very low. With a painkiller, this pain can be easily relieved. Patients can leave the hospital one or two hours after the procedure and continue their daily life normally. Patients can take a bath 2 days after the procedure. It is recommended to apply the bandage placed under the armpit for one week. The results of the procedure are permanent, patients will be free from excessive sweating under the armpit for the rest of their lives.

Risks

Although the incidence is low, excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo procedure has its risks. If one of these risks occur, your doctor will take precautions and try to eliminate the negative consequences:

  • Infection
  • Scarring
  • Blood clots
  • Unusual Swelling
  • Refractory pain

Side Effects

Since excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo is a minimally invasive procedure, its side effects are minimal and uncommon. These include:

  • Minor bruising
  • Discomfort
  • Scarring

Success Rates

According to the reviews and the feedbacks of the patients, excessive sweating treatment with Slim Lipo procedure results in around 85% satisfaction.

Before And After

The laser lipolysis procedure breaks the outer wall of the sweat glands only in the treated area. It does not harm organs, vessels, or nerves. This procedure can be successful in a single session. This method cannot be used for other areas of excessive sweating such as the face, hand because the application area is only underarm.

Are There Any Natural Remedies for Excessive Sweating?

Natural remedies to treat excessive sweating include herbal substances such as sage tea, chamomile or valerian root.
