IVF FAQ

– How much does IVF cost?
Prices vary depending on the country and clinic in which IVF is performed. Costs can range from $1500 to $13000. Medication costs are not usually included in the procedure itself, as they depend on each patient’s needs.

– Are IVF children susceptible to birth defects?
IVF babies are in no way more susceptible to birth defects than naturally conceived children. Around 3% of all children suffer from birth defects.

– Is In vitro fertilisation painful?
The IVF process itself is not painful as the patient will be administered anaesthesia before the eggs are retrieved and transferred back into the uterus.

– Is IVF gender selection possible?
The technique called Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis or PGD is a safe and reliable way to choose the sex of a baby.
