Prof. Banu Atalar

Prof. Dr. Banu Atalar is a radiation oncologist at Acibadem Maslak Hospital in Istanbul, where she has practised since 2009. A graduate of Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, she completed her radiation oncology training at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and a fellowship at Stanford University's Department of Radiation Oncology, and has held the rank of Professor at Acibadem University since 2018. Her clinical focus includes brachytherapy, intraoperative radiotherapy, robotic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiotherapy. She is a member of the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), where she serves on the International Affairs Advisory Group, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and the Rare Cancer Network (RCN). She treats patients in English and Turkish.
