Angela went above and beyond my expectations. She is very friendly and you can always feel at ease contacting her. She made sure I was comfortable with our choice of surgeon Dr. Can Karaca and set up a video call for me. Always ready to help and answer any questions (she would always be available despite the 7 hour time difference)! I wasn’t really sure about traveling to Istanbul, Turkey for my procedure until I met Angela and she explained everything from start to finish and stood behind her words to always be of assistance. Mind you I have been researching for months now for a good doctor and went back and forth between waiting 2 years to get my surgery done in Canada or even traveling to Mexico for it! I was thinking Turkey would be a difficult route due to time difference and the distance but I’m very happy I chose to go to Turkey with Flymedi and I’m glad my agent was Angela Sabou! Do not hesitate to work with Flymedi and especially request Angela if you can!!! - a very satisfied client

Adonis Fertility International Caring Professionals

After trying IVF unsuccessfully in the US for many years Maria from Adonis Fertility International gave me hope. I was very impressed by her work ethic and I trusted she would work hard at helping us become parents. Her communication was top-notch. I choose Adonis because of Maria and then worked with Amy, Nancy, and Ivanna and ALL were Amazing. Everything is broken down for you in steps and very organized. There was always someone there to answer a question you may. Its been a very smooth process, with all the legal documents and made transporting the biomaterial stress-free. We are still in our beginning stages and I will give another review at the end but everything so far has been excellent and I would recommend Adonis to any US couple looking to try IVF and hopefully become parents.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I was really hesitant at first, because I’ve never done anything like this before, but Kirstie did a great job of answering all my questions & concerns, in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using this service.

At the beginning, I was very hesitant about having my surgeries, especially the idea of having them in Turkey, which is a country located across the ocean of where I come from, the United States of America. When I initially started my research, I came across Flymedi, and I strongly believe that connecting with them was the best decision I have made in regards of having my desired surgeries. After entering my contact information, I was contacted from Flymedi by an agent named Abud. On one hand, Abud has been a great assist and support to my journey, as he was involved in every step throughout the process. He was very responsive to all my concerns and inquiries before and after the operations. On the other hand, everyone at the clinic that I was referred to (EstEthica) was very nice and welcoming. The in-person consultant on site (Lamia) was extremely helpful and kind. She, along with the whole clinic staff, made me feel so comfortable and made the whole trip seem as smooth as possible, despite the discomfort after the surgeries. In terms of the results, I can not speak of this just yet as it has only been a week since I have had my operations. However, I will definitely come back within a couple of months to update my review and speak about the results and any other additional notes along the way. In a nutshell, all I can say that I am grateful for everything so far, and I truly appreciate everyone that was involved in this process! P.S. as a word of advice, if you are having a hair transplant operation, I highly recommend having it at least 3 - 4 days before your departure flight back home, as the post operation instructions are a bit intense and not being in a rush would significantly help with the recovery process.

Recommended For MRI Scan

MRI scanner is beneficial in identifying health problems such as:
• Different types of cancer, for example, lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, etc. Also, by performing an MRI scan, doctors can identify the type of cancer and its spread.
• Bone problems.
• Medical conditions related to soft tissue.
• Prostate diseases.
• Spinal injuries, including cervical spine MRI and lumbar spine MRI.

Not Recommended For MRI Scan

MRI scan can be performed for many patients, including pregnant women, and children. However, it is not suggested to perform an MRI scan for pregnant women in minor health problems. The procedure is also not recommended for the patients who have metal devices in their bodies, such as pacemakers and shunt for hydrocephalus. In addition, an MRI scan is not suggested for patients who are having chemotherapy treatment as well.

Duration Of Operation

20 to 45 minutes depending on the type of study being performed

Minimum Stay

Outpatient procedure

Overview

MRI scan is short for magnetic resonance imaging. MRI scanners involve powerful magnets and radio waves, which causes to get a detailed image of the one’s organs. By getting a detailed image, doctors can identify the patient’s health problems. There are different kinds of MRI scans, such as MRI scan with contrast and without contrast, in addition to open MRI. In contrast to CT scan, there are no X-rays in the MRI scan procedure.

Preparation

Generally, there is no need for preparation before the MRI scan. However, depending on the case, doctors might want you to fast for several hours or in contrast, it might be recommended to drink a lot of water before the MRI scan. Since the MRI scanners involve powerful magnets, it is important to pay attention to remove all metal objects in your body, including jewelry.

How It Is Performed

During the MRI scan procedure patients lie down. Depending on the purpose of the MRI scan, the body part undergoes the MRI varies. It might be the patient’s head in the cases of MRI brain scan or neck MRI, or it might be the legs for the cases of abdominal MRI and lumbar spine MRI. It is very important to stay still during the MRI scan procedure since movement might affect the results. In some cases, doctors may offer an MRI with contrast to get a clearer image.Contrast is a chemical substance that enters the patient’s body through injection and then spreads with blood. Though, contrast is not necessitated in all the cases of MRI scan procedure.

Recovery

MRI scan is a non-invasive procedure that does not involve anesthesia. Therefore, there is no recovery period of an MRI scan.

Risks

MRI scan does not involve X-rays or any other type of possibly dangerous radiation. Therefore, there are no risks involved in the procedure. However, as a precaution, it is not recommended for pregnant women to get an MRI scan specifically during the first couple of months of pregnancy. In addition to that, it is also not recommended to have an MRI scan for the patients who have metal implants in their body, such as pacemakers, artificial hearts, etc.

Side Effects

Even though there is wide research, there is no clear data regarding the MRI scan side effects.

When Should I Undergo an MRI Scan?
If the patient is suffering from different kinds of health problems such as cancer, spinal injuries, bone injuries, or soft tissue problems, doctors may decide on an MRI scan. The most common types of MRI scans are head MRI, abdominal MRI, and spine MRI that involves cervical spine MRI and lumbar spine MRI.

Why Sometimes Doctors Perform MRI with Contrast?
Contrast is a chemical substance that is used in order to make patient's some of the body parts more visible, causing a more detailed MRI scan. However, the choice of MRI with contrast depends on a kind of MRI. Doctors may perform brain MRI with contrast but decide for MRI without contrast in other cases.
CT Scan vs. MRI Scan – What Is the Difference?
CT scan (or CAT scan) involves X-rays, which, although in low doses, may be potentially hurtful to some patients. Since the MRI scan involves radio waves and magnets, there is no risk for the radiation. However, in some cases, CT scanner might provide more detailed imaging than an MRI scanner. Therefore, your doctor would decide on performing whether CT scan or MRI scan depending on your condition
