Made my trip overseas so much easier!

Yasmin was extremely helpful, friendly and made planning my trip so much easier. I don't know what I would have done without her! She told me how to get a travel visa and luckily warned me of any travel restrictions that were going on! I had to rebook my trip twice due to covid & restrictions and Yasmin handled everything on the hospitals end. One of the times I had to rebook it was because my layover was in london and Turkey banned all incoming travel from the UK. The airline never notified me so if it wasn't for Yasmin warning me I would have gotten on the plane and been stuck in london! Going overseas to a country you've never been to before to get plastic surgery can be scary, having Yasmin made it a lot less scary knowing you have somebody there that's on your team to help you.

Long waiting times in UK…

Because of long waiting times in UK hospitals due to Covid19, I hit upon the idea of having my bilateral hernia surgery done while on a 2-week holiday in Antalya. After making inquiries through Yasmin, I had a short but comprehensive consultation with an eminent surgeon Prof Alihan Gürkan and my operation was scheduled for a day halfway through my stay in Antalya. It went well with keyhole surgery, I stayed in overnight and was discharged the next day, which gave me 6 days to recover before my flight home to Scotland. Yasmin kept in touch throughout, making sure I had transport to and from the hospital, and a special thanks to Fatma, my mentor and guide at the Memorial Hospital on my day of tests and examinations. I telephoned my surgeon a few days after the operation for advice on removing my plasters and he was most helpful and reassuring about my complete recovery. I was not too fond of the breakfast, but considered it as another form of medicine! My flight home was amazingly comfortable without painkillers, although they were definitely needed for a few days after my operation. In conclusion, I would be happy to have other treatment like this, though in a nice sort of way I hope never to set eyes on the Memorial Hospital again. 🙂

A very positive outcome

A very positive outcome, following my decision to pursue in having dental cosmetic surgery/treatment carried out in Turkey. Excellent advisory skills by Flymedi rep Abud. He was professional, well informed, and followed me up with total attention throughout the whole process. Last but not least, I thank Dr Ahmed Kumsan and his team at Infinity Smiles Dental Clinic for their commitment and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Thank you Flymedi

I was considering several different options, however Abud was by far the most committed and helpful of all the agents I'd been in discussions with. Everything was organised for me and I was guided throughout and if I was feeling apprehensive about anything or had any questions Abud was always on hand to answer my questions and give reassurances. I'm so happy with the results of my operation and I was left overwhelmed by how friendly and supportive everyone was throughout. If you're considering using flymedi then I can honestly say you'll be delighted with the service both before during and after your surgery.

Recommended For Mini Tummy Tuck

Mini tummy tuck procedure can benefit patients who have a small amount of excess skin and fat or protruding of the lower abdomen.

Not Recommended For Mini Tummy Tuck

If you have a small amount of excess skin and fat below the belly button and do not need a full abdominoplasty procedure, if your general health is also suitable for undergoing a surgery, you may be an ideal candidate for mini tummy tuck surgery. The final decision will be made by your surgeon.

Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, can be a great option in case of excess sagging of the skin and loose muscle tissue in the abdominal area that is resistant to both diet and exercise.

Full tummy tuck is usually used to rejuvenate the entire abdominal area, both above and below the belly button. A tummy tuck is considered a less extensive variation of full abdominoplasty and is typically used in cases where the abdominal muscles and the minimum amount of excess skin are limited to the lower abdominal region under the belly button.

There are several things that patients are required to do during the preparation stage of mini tummy tuck procedure include stop smoking as well as avoiding of drugs and herbal supplements that could increase bleeding such as anti-inflammatory medicines, fish oil and aspirin.

How It Is Performed

This surgery can be performed by sedation under general, epidural or local anesthesia according to the preference of surgeon and patient. Surgeons apply a small incision above the pubic area and usually some liposuction is also performed. Abdominal fat is absorbed, excess supra-pubic skin is removed, and in case of muscle laxity, the medial part of the abdominal skin is also removed. Finally, the skin is sutured with umbilicus preserved.

As a result of the more limited treatment area, typically a smaller incision is used for a mini tummy tuck, and the recovery time is usually slightly shorter and the scar is less than the full one.

Risks and complications related with the mini tummy tuck include:

  • Hematomas (blood collections)
  • Infections
  • Blood clots (venous thromboembolism)
  • Lung-related problems

Side Effects

Possible side effects of mini tummy tuck may include:

  • Infection
  • Bruising
  • Delayed healing of the wound
  • Numbness

Success Rates

Mini tummy tuck procedure creates so many satisfied and happy patients which can easily be seen in the patients’ ratings of around 96% satisfaction.

Before And After

Mini tummy tuck or mini abdominoplasty is performed to remove excess skin and tissue from the area between the belly button and pubic area, to create a smoother, firmer abdominal profile. As it can be seen in before and after photos and read in the patients’ reviews on the websites, the outcomes of this procedure are quite effective and satisfying.

What is Mini Tummy Tuck?

A mini tummy tuck is a cosmetic surgery procedure which can give the patients' lower abdomen a smoother look with less scarring than a full tummy tuck.

Is Mini Tummy Tuck Painful?

Mini tummy tuck procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia, although it can be performed under local anesthesia, as well. In either case, patients do not experience any pain or discomfort during the procedure. If pain is felt during the recovery period, painkillers prescribed by the doctor will be effective enough.

What Is the Difference Between Mini Tummy Tuck Vs Full Tummy Tuck?

Full tummy tuck is usually used to rejuvenate the entire abdominal area, both above and below the belly button. A tummy tuck is considered a less extensive variation of full abdominoplasty and is typically used in cases where the abdominal muscles and the minimum amount of excess skin are limited to the lower abdominal region under the belly button.
