The first time I had some doubts about the intervențion , Due to the fact that the hair regenerates periodic, what I can say is that the result of a hair transplant is 100% successful. This revival comes after a period of 9 months waiting to see the result of the intervention. I recommend Flymedi and of course I recommend the person who was near me during the intervention Mr Mustafa. Mr. Mustafa is a person I rarely met. I can say that everything related to professionalism is on his side. I recommend to all those who want to have professional interventions, to have the highest confidence in Flymedi. Thank you Flymedi !

I came across FlyMedi online while looking for medical tourism options for septorhinoplasty in Turkey. I was contacted by FlyMedi's Nadia via email within hours of submitting for more information on their website. Nadia made herself available 24/7 via email and WhatsApp, even as I traveled across multiple time zones. Nadia provided multiple options in multiple locations with pros and cons and for each and stayed in touch throughout the process. I already recommended FlyMedi and specifically Nadia to friends and family considering Turkey for any medical tourism they may be considering. Thank you Nadia!

I'd been researching the procedure for a while and the cost in Australia was significantly higher than in Turkey. I came across the Flymedi website and within hours of submitting an enquiry, Nadia had reached out. She provided multiple quotes with different options, background on the doctors and hospitals. Nadia was available 24/7 and really helped me through everything from start to finish. Great business idea, exceptional staff and great customer service

I am really happy that I have planned my operation through Flymedi. Robin took great care of me and was always there for me and made everything possible. I had a breast lift and tummy tuck and had liposuction by Dr. Asli Datli. MedicalPark in Istanbul. she is a super doctor, the results has become very nice and was also there well cared for. Nurse Yeliz is adorable and has always been by my side. She was also always available and answered all my questions. I have felt very well, thanks again to all I am very satisfied.

Recommended For PET Scan

PET scan is recommended for cases of clinical suspicion, prevention, early diagnosis of neoplastic diseases, identifying and localizing tumors, detecting metastases, measuring the effectiveness of a treatment, to designate the exact location for radiotherapy and many other uses like cardiology, infectious diseases, etc.

Not Recommended For PET Scan

During the PET scan procedure, the patients do not experience any pain. The patients would be informed by a specialist about any associated risks and benefits of Positron Emission Tomography. Even though the PET scan involves a low dose of radiations, it is not an invasive process. PET scan is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Overview

Positron Emission Tomography, also known as PET, is a neurological imaging technique that is mostly used for diagnosis and research objectives. PET scan is used by neurologists in order to inspect one’s brain detailly and to start the diagnosis process accordingly. As a result of the PET scan, the doctors can identify metastases and tumors as well as the possible problems related to the nervous system.

Preparation

For the PET scan procedure, preparation is crucial. Before the procedure, it is recommended to wear warm and comfortable clothes. Also, it is suggested to avoid wearing any metal jewelry and accessories. A day before the PET scan, the patient should limit their caffeine and sugar consumption in addition to being properly hydrated. Before the procedure, the patient should not eat anything and drink lots of water for six hours.
Also, diabetic patients should consult their doctor for specific instructions regarding their condition.Another important aspect of the preparation is the PET scan procedure cost. The patients should know the costs before starting the procedure.

How It Is Performed

PET scan is performed by injecting a small number of radioactive substances into the blood circulation. After the injection, the patient will rest for an hour, waiting for the substance to dissolve in the organism. Before starting the PET scan procedure, the patients are requested to empty their bladder and lie down on the scanner bed.Generally, the PET scan procedure lasts for around 15-35 minutes, but it depends on the type of PET scan machine and the type of scan performed.Additionally, it is very important to stay still during the procedure.

Recovery

Once the procedure is completed, patients can leave the hospital and continue their daily routine. After the procedure, in order to shorten the time of the elimination of radiopharmaceutical substance from the body, proper hydration is suggested. The PET scan results would be provided between 24 to 48 hours.

Risks

Since the PET scan is a non-invasive procedure, it does not involve any pain or risks related to the procedure.

Side Effects

The doctors would inform the patients about any possible side effects of PET scan.

Success Rates

For the fields of diagnosis and research, PET scan is thought to be very efficient.

Before And After

Shortly after the procedure, a written report of the PET scan is provided to the patients. The doctor would interpret the report to inform the patients about their condition.

Faq

How often should I have a PET scan
Depending on your health conditions, your doctor would make such a choice.

Are there alternatives to PET scan?
There are other neurological imaging systems like FMRI, Radiography, Angiography, etc., but depending on the scope of the procedure, PET imaging can offer unique information that cannot be provided by any other medical device.

Is it painless?
During the procedure, the patient would not feel any pain. However, before the PET scan, the patient would only feel a regular sting, which is caused by an injection.

Is it expensive?
The cost of the procedure varies depending on the patient’s insurance plan and the location where the PET scan would be performed.
