PRP

Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins, and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to circulate through the body. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth-healing functions. Platelet activation plays a key role in the body's natural healing process.
Platelet-rich plasma has been found to significantly enhance the healing process, and using a PRP injection for shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff tears, Achilles tendon ruptures, and for other soft-tissue injuries is becoming more common.PRP has also been demonstrated to improve function and reduce pain in people who have tendonitis or chronic tendinosis conditions such as tennis elbow or golfer's elbow.

Patient Story

Some of the key advantages of PRP injections are that they can reduce the need for anti-inflammatories or stronger medications like opioids. In addition, the side effects of PRP injections are very limited because, since the injections are created from your own blood, your body will not reject or react negatively to them. I went in for a PRP treatment after my hair transplant, to help boost the results. Honestly I was worried it would be painful but the injections were quick and mostly painless. I just felt a tingling sensation on my scalp. Over the next few weeks, I noticed my hair felt thicker and healthier. The clinic explained everything really well so I knew what to expect. Definitely worth adding to the transplant process for extra growth.

Started PRP as a way to slow down hair loss without jumping straight to surgery. The clinic was clean and professional, and the sessions were pretty chill. Hair fall has reduced and it feels stronger overall. Will likely keep up the sessions for long-term benefit. 💆

Did 4 PRP sessions at Dr. Vivo to try and improve my thinning hair. Wasn’t expecting miracles but I’ve definitely noticed less shedding and more density on top. Sessions were painless and quite fast too. The staff were really easy to talk to. I’m glad I started early rather than waiting too long.

Tried PRP sessions at Dr. Vivo to boost my hair health naturally. The sessions were pretty straightforward and didn’t take too long. After a few months, I noticed my hair was shedding less and even looked shinier. It's a slow process but totally worth sticking to. Their team really know what they're doing.
