What is vaginoplasty? Vaginoplasty, also called vaginal rejuvenation, is a 1-hour plastic surgery procedure done under general anesthesia that aims to tighten the vagina and repair its external appearance of it by removing the excess surrounding soft tissues around the genital area.

Vaginoplasty is a general term. The definition of vaginoplasty consists of many types of surgery performed for different purposes related to vagina reconstruction. Some of them aim at vaginal rejuvenation also known as female rejuvenation surgery, while others are a different type of vagina reconstruction which is conducted to repair the damage caused by illnesses. Finally, there is also a sex reassignment surgery. After all, it is an operation in which doctors construct or reconstruct one’s vagina to establish/restore its proper functions.
