About Op. Dr. Habib Başkurt
Op. Dr. Habib Başkurt was born in Istanbul in 1979 and graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). He completed his specialist training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.
His residency produced several papers. He is co-author of a marking device for vertical scar breast reduction (European Journal of Plastic Surgery, 2009) and of a retrospective analysis of 143 mandibular fracture cases (Turkish Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, 2010), and first author of a case report on hereditary factors in basal cell carcinoma in two albino brothers (Annals of Plastic Surgery, 2011).
After specialization he served as a plastic surgeon at Balıkesir Military Hospital, completed his compulsory service at Elazığ Training and Research Hospital and worked at Esenyurt State Hospital before moving into private practice. He now practices in Istanbul. His areas of interest include rhinoplasty, facelift and blepharoplasty, breast augmentation, reduction and lift, gynecomastia treatment, liposuction and abdominoplasty, hair transplantation, non-surgical treatments, and reconstructive and hand surgery.
He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TPRECD), and has taken part in national and international congresses and workshops, including the BAPRAS congress in 2007.
