Prof. Toygar Toydemir

Prof. Dr. Toygar Toydemir completed his medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine and his general surgery residency at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital from 2001 to 2006.

Prof. Dr. Toygar Toydemir is a general surgery specialist and professor with a focus on advanced laparoscopic, reflux and bariatric surgery. He completed compulsory service at Erzurum Palandöken State Hospital and military service at Adana Military Hospital (2008 to 2009), where he also served as clinical chief. From 2009 to 2011 he worked with Prof. Mehmet Ali Yerdel on reflux evaluation and anti-reflux surgery, and in 2010 passed the Turkish Surgical Society proficiency board examination. In 2013, he worked at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York with Dr. Mitchell Roslin, focusing on revisional bariatric procedures. He has held the title of Professor of General Surgery since 2020. His areas of interest include advanced laparoscopic surgery, reflux (GERD) surgery, obesity and bariatric surgery, and revisional bariatric surgery.
