Vaser Liposuction procedure is performed with the Vaser (Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance) device, unlike conventional technique, excess fat in the body is liquefied with the aid of ultrasonic sound waves.
Liquefied oil is also removed by thin cannulas in this technique, but as in the classical technique, the cannulas do not have blades at their ends. Therefore, the Vaser liposuction (or Vaser lipo) technique does not damage the nerves and vessels during the fat removal process, and less bruising, swelling and edema are experienced after the procedure.
Vaser Liposuction procedure takes 1-2 hours
After Vaser liposuction, results are immediately visible in many patients. However, it takes 5 to 6 weeks for the treatment areas to fully recover and the final results to appear.
VASER Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure that is performed in order to remove subcutaneous fat below the skin. VASER Liposuction is also known as VASER Ultrasonic liposuction or LipoSelection.
VASER is an acronym for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance.

When performing tumescent traditional liposuction, surgeons use a medical tube – known as the cannula – to remove unwanted fat. The surgeon will loosen the fat tissues by moving the cannula back and forth. Once the fat cells are loosened and disrupted, it becomes easy to remove them.
But when it comes to Vaser liposuction, the Vaser probe is inserted into the fat tissue, as it vibrates it breaks the fat cells using the ultrasonic waves. When the cells are broken, the surgeon will then remove the fat using a specially-designed cannula.
Using this technique, your surgeon can merely target the fat cells without harming any surrounding tissues. Vaser liposuction can be performed on different body parts such as the thighs, knees, abdomen, love handles, chest, arms, chin, and neck.
We understand that every patient is different, this is why we always customize every individual’s surgery so as to suit their specific needs, preferences, and match you with the best Vaser liposuction surgeon in Turkey. There are 5 main stages involved in the Vaser Liposuction procedure, and these are:
Your first consultation will be done online, but when you arrive at the clinic, you will have your final consultation which will be done face-to-face between you and your surgeon. When you have both gone through the details of the surgery, your surgeon will begin to prepare you for the procedure.
In most cases, this surgery is performed when the patient is under local anesthesia. But general anesthesia can also be an option. Suppose the surgeon opts for local anesthesia, tumescent fluid will be injected into the area which is about to be treated. The tumescent fluid contains a special saline solution and a local anesthetic that will numb the targeted area instantly. The saline solution in the fluid will shrink the blood vessels so as to prevent blood loss and bruising.
Once the anesthesia gets into effect, your surgeon will begin to make incisions where small probes or wands will be inserted. Your surgeon is more likely going to use different diameter wands for different types of fat. Using the ultrasonic frequency, the fat cells will get loosened easily and this allows them to mix with the tumescent fluid.
When your surgeon confirms that the fat cells have combined with the tumescent fluid, the next step is to remove the cells using a special suction tube.
If you undergo multiple areas of Vaser Liposuction, you will have to spend the first night at the hospital. But if the Lipo was targeted in one area, you can be discharged soon after the surgery. A day after the surgery, your surgeon will make a post-op check-up, and he/she will give you a set of instructions to follow during your recovery period.
Is Vaser Liposuction Painful?
You may feel pain or soreness after the procedure is done. However, your surgeon may prescribe painkillers to relieve this pain and discomfort.
Does Vaser Liposuction Leave a Scar?
There will be more than one incision as the cannula is inserted from more than one place but these tend to disappear leaving a small unnoticeable scar on the skin.
Which Body Parts Can Vaser Liposuction Be Applied To?
Vaser liposuction is performed frequently on the abdominal area. Side regions of the abdomen, hips, thighs, lower legs, and arms are also preferred areas for Vaser liposuction. Vaser liposuction is also recommended for gynecomastia in men.
