Made my trip overseas so much easier!

Yasmin was extremely helpful, friendly and made planning my trip so much easier. I don't know what I would have done without her! She told me how to get a travel visa and luckily warned me of any travel restrictions that were going on! I had to rebook my trip twice due to covid & restrictions and Yasmin handled everything on the hospitals end. One of the times I had to rebook it was because my layover was in london and Turkey banned all incoming travel from the UK. The airline never notified me so if it wasn't for Yasmin warning me I would have gotten on the plane and been stuck in london! Going overseas to a country you've never been to before to get plastic surgery can be scary, having Yasmin made it a lot less scary knowing you have somebody there that's on your team to help you.

Long waiting times in UK…

Because of long waiting times in UK hospitals due to Covid19, I hit upon the idea of having my bilateral hernia surgery done while on a 2-week holiday in Antalya. After making inquiries through Yasmin, I had a short but comprehensive consultation with an eminent surgeon Prof Alihan Gürkan and my operation was scheduled for a day halfway through my stay in Antalya. It went well with keyhole surgery, I stayed in overnight and was discharged the next day, which gave me 6 days to recover before my flight home to Scotland. Yasmin kept in touch throughout, making sure I had transport to and from the hospital, and a special thanks to Fatma, my mentor and guide at the Memorial Hospital on my day of tests and examinations. I telephoned my surgeon a few days after the operation for advice on removing my plasters and he was most helpful and reassuring about my complete recovery. I was not too fond of the breakfast, but considered it as another form of medicine! My flight home was amazingly comfortable without painkillers, although they were definitely needed for a few days after my operation. In conclusion, I would be happy to have other treatment like this, though in a nice sort of way I hope never to set eyes on the Memorial Hospital again. 🙂

A very positive outcome

A very positive outcome, following my decision to pursue in having dental cosmetic surgery/treatment carried out in Turkey. Excellent advisory skills by Flymedi rep Abud. He was professional, well informed, and followed me up with total attention throughout the whole process. Last but not least, I thank Dr Ahmed Kumsan and his team at Infinity Smiles Dental Clinic for their commitment and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Thank you Flymedi

I was considering several different options, however Abud was by far the most committed and helpful of all the agents I'd been in discussions with. Everything was organised for me and I was guided throughout and if I was feeling apprehensive about anything or had any questions Abud was always on hand to answer my questions and give reassurances. I'm so happy with the results of my operation and I was left overwhelmed by how friendly and supportive everyone was throughout. If you're considering using flymedi then I can honestly say you'll be delighted with the service both before during and after your surgery.

Eyebrow lift surgery or brow lift surgery is recommended for patients have drooping eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, and frown lines between the brows. Patients bothered by the signs of aging in the brow region are good candidates for this operation. They also need to be in good health in order to have this procedure. Heavy smokers need to quit smoking before and after the eyebrow lift surgery. In the same time, patients need to be a positive outlook and have realistic expectations about this procedure and what it can achieve.

Overview

Brow lift surgery, also known as eyebrow lift surgery or forehead lift surgery is a plastic surgery procedure performed in order to elevate drooping eyebrows but also eliminate any deep worry lines that run across a patient’s forehead.

Brow lift surgery, also known as eyebrow lift surgery, can:

  • Effectively rejuvenate the facial area by raising your eyebrows to a higher position
  • Improve vision for the patient because sagging eyebrows could eventually prevent vision
  • Remove the frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Reduce “worry lines” from the forehead
  • Reduce lines from the bridge of the nose, between the eyes

Although there are also non-surgical solutions such as Botox and dermal filler to lift the eyebrows, brow lift surgery offers a more permanent solution than these techniques.

Preparation

Patients need to stop taking any anti-inflammatory medicines at least 2 weeks before the procedure. Smoking should be stopped at least one month before the procedure. Because it may adversely affect the healing process of the body and ultimately destroy the results of forehead lift surgery. Herbal teas, green teas, vitamins, aspirin, and Omega 3 capsules need to be avoided at least 2 weeks before the brow lift surgery.

How It Is Performed

Before the brow lift procedure can begin, the patient is put under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation depending on the decision of the surgeon.
There are two main techniques which can be applied for a brow lift procedure:
Endoscopic brow lift procedure– The endoscope is a skinny tube with a small camera on end. In this procedure, the surgeon creates small incisions just behind the hairline and then uses these incisions to adjust the muscle and tissue beneath the skin, effectively correct the lines on the forehead and raise the eyebrows. The endoscopic brow lift procedure is preferred by doctors as well as patients, as it is much less invasive than previous techniques, and it can usually achieve an equally successful result.

Coronal incision brow lift procedure– The incision spans from one ear to the other, across the top of the head. The patient’s skin is then lifted, revealing any underlying tissue. The surgeon then continues to make adjustments to achieve the desired result. The coronal incision scar is hidden from the patient's hairline.

The operated area was then bandaged, and the brow lift surgery procedure ended.

Recovery

The average brow lift recovery period lasts between 2 and 4 weeks. The patient’s forehead is wrapped in bandages in order to avoid infection but also to reduce bruising and swelling. A certain amount of swelling and bruising may be experienced in the 10-day period following surgery. Patients can return to work and daily activities in about 2 weeks, but sports and substantial physical activities should be avoided for at least 4 weeks. If the sutures were used instead of bandages, they are usually removed within seven to 10 days after the surgery.

Patients will need to take precautions as not to disturb the forehead region – wearing hats are prohibited during the brow lift recovery period.

Brow lift surgery risks and complications can include the following:
