I travelled all the way from US by myself to come here and get rhinoplasty done, my surgery was a week ago by Dr Hasan duygulu he is extremely professional and excellent at his job. My whole stay was made very easy and comforting by Kate, Sultan and Enes. I have been coordinating with Kate this whole time from the start till the end. She has been amazing throughout and ensuring. They all were there for me when i needed them and even after. It was a great decision for me and i m totally proud of myself that i was able to find the best and proceeded with it. I thank everyone part of luna clinic and the hospital for your kind and loving hospitality. I will recommend coming to Dr Hasan to everyone and anyone without any hesitation

I would highly recommend Flymedi and Abud

I would highly recommend Flymedi. My mom had a gastric balloon fitted at the Luna clinic and everything went smoothly. When I was looking for a clinic in Turkey I found Flymedi as medical tourism, I contacted them by email and they got back to me in a short time. I was assigned Abud as health coordinator and I don’t have enough words to thank him. He’s professional but on top of that he loves what he’s doing and he does really care. As I said before I don’t have enough words to thank Abud and Flymedi and I’m so happy I made the right decision by choosing them. If you want to have the bed experience choose Flymedi and you won’t regret it.

Rhinoplasty 12 days ago- Luna Clinic- Dr. Hasan Duygulu

I had my rhinoplasty done exactly 12 days ago with doctor Hasan Duygulu. Before flying to Istanbul, I was very scared of doing this somewhere far from home but , from the first day of our arrival I knew I chose the right clinic; we met Sultan at the gate of the hospital, she was extremely nice and accommodating and organised, she comforted and still comforting me with answering every question and concerns possible and was with me through the whole before, during and after process which I am still experiencing btw. At the day of the surgery we met doctor Hasan, he is very nice and professional, I told him what I wanted and he took pictures of my face and showed me what my nose could approximately look like after the surgery and addressed my concerns and questions which were a lot btw :) he came to visit me right after I woke up and the next morning as well. The hospital was very luxurious and the nurses were very nice and all our needs were met perfectly, everything was super organised and easy. Today I removed my cast and I am very happy with the results as early as it is with the swelling I am very satisfied and I cant wait to see the final results which seem to be very close to the pictures he showed me. Thank you Luna clinic and especially Sultan for making this life changing decisions the best decision I made. The whole experience was easy, trusted and comfortable thanks to you

I would definitely recommend booking through Flymedi.

If you are thinking about surgery in Turkey, I would definitely recommend booking through Flymedi. Abud was my contact and is there for you 24/7. He was quick to respond and did his very best to answer every question and keep me calm in what can be, a new and scary experience. I would highly recommend and you can be sure you are lucky if he is your contact. The hospital was very clean and staff were very professional and kind. The doctor did an amazing job and I am thrilled!!

Totally recommend

The whole process went really smooth from the beginning, it was really easy to communicate with them. I had my mommy makeover done in June, 2021 and the only thing I regretted is putting off my surgery for some years because I did not want to travel abroad, but in the end it was all worth it. The prices are much lower and I was happy with my surgeon (Prof. Omer), he is such a friendly person and an amazing surgeon as well. I love my results and I've never felt so confident in my body, even before the pregnancy. I can recommend Flymedi and my surgeon in particular.

Recommended For Cleft Lip or Palate Repair

Cleft lip or cleft palate are conditions which are easily visible for parents and a medical team right after the childbirth. Doctors evaluate the degree of cleft lip and palate of the child and prepare a treatment program which usually includes surgery, bone grafts, dental treatment and speech therapy.

Overview

Cleft lip or palate are medical conditions present in a minority of newborns. In cleft lip, a child's lip has a smaller or bigger gap, sometimes reaching up to the nose. In the cleft palate, there is a cleft in one's palate, connecting the nose with the mouth. Both cleft lip and cleft palate are treatable and most kids can have surgery to repair them within the first years of their lives before they lead to problems with breastfeeding and speaking.

While they seem like severe health problems and they cause some trouble to children affected by them, cleft lip and palate only rarely lead to serious complications and cleft lip and palate surgery is an effective treatment to choose.

What Causes Cleft Lip and Palate?
Cleft lip causes and cleft palate causes vary and include:
• Certain genes passed down from one or both parents• Some medicines are taken by the mother during pregnancy

• Drinking and smoking during pregnancy

• Some drugs, viruses, or other toxins

Preparation

Since children undergo cleft lip and palate surgery in the very early time of their lives (3-6 months for cleft lip and 6-12 months for cleft palate union the responsibility for preparation is on their parents. However, surgery is not very complicated to make a major preparation. Firstly, since the children should not be ill during the procedure, parents need to pay extra attention to their health, especially in the weeks before cleft lip and palate surgery. Secondly, the children should neither drink nor eat before the cleft lip and palate repair.

How It Is Performed

There are two types of cleft lip repair surgery:

• Cleft Lip Surgery – In cleft lip repair, the surgeon performs a series of cuts alongside the cleft, and then stitches the tissues together and forms a fully functional lip. It is a well-known operation with a high success rate.

Cleft Palate Repair – Before the surgery, surgeons usually install a prosthetic device called palatal obturator to help the children eat and speak normally. Cleft palate surgery may be performed when the children are around 6-12 months old. However, as long as the development of the child is continuing, the related operations may be needed.

Instead of traditional cleft palate surgery, doctors nowadays may choose new approaches, such as the Latham appliance. In the Latham appliance, a set of screws placed in the palate is turned daily in order to narrow the cleft. After achieving good results and relatively easier post-op period with the Latham appliance, doctors turn to a cleft palate surgery.

Recovery

Cleft lip or cleft palate surgery recovery timeline depends on their extent. Sometimes the tissue may feel numb and children can cause damage to themselves without feeling it. Elbow restraints are generally used to prevent children from touching the cleft lip and palate surgery operation site. There may be small amounts of blood in the mucosa or saliva for several days after surgery. Therefore, children's mucus or saliva may appear pink.
Additionally, the cleft lip and palate treatment do not complete with a cleft lip surgery or cleft palate surgery – there are several other issues which usually needs to be treated, such as:
• Hearing Problems – most of the children have a problem with hearing, known as glue ear where fluid builds up in the ear.
• Dental Issues – if the cleft lip affects the gums, teeth may be tilted.
• Speaking Problems – especially in cleft palate, children may experience difficulties with proper speaking due to the existence of a connection between oral cavity and nose.

Scars After Surgery

The result of cleft lip and/or cleft palate treatment improves the quality of life of children, including breathing, eating, and speaking. Secondary procedures on the lip or palate may be necessary for functional reasons or to further enhance the appearance. Scars after cleft lip surgery are located within the normal contours of the face and they are usually hard to spot after a few years from this procedure.

Risks

To risks and complications of cleft lift and palate repair may include:
• Infections
• Postoperative bleeding

• Airway obstruction
• Complete wound breakdown

Success Rates

Most of the children with cleft lip or cleft palate conditions can live a normal life thanks to cleft lip or palate repair surgeries. Studies have reported that up to 70% of children have good outcomes of their cleft lip and palate surgery, as new techniques are available, this percentage is expected to rise.
