The first time I had some doubts about the intervențion , Due to the fact that the hair regenerates periodic, what I can say is that the result of a hair transplant is 100% successful. This revival comes after a period of 9 months waiting to see the result of the intervention. I recommend Flymedi and of course I recommend the person who was near me during the intervention Mr Mustafa. Mr. Mustafa is a person I rarely met. I can say that everything related to professionalism is on his side. I recommend to all those who want to have professional interventions, to have the highest confidence in Flymedi. Thank you Flymedi !

I came across FlyMedi online while looking for medical tourism options for septorhinoplasty in Turkey. I was contacted by FlyMedi's Nadia via email within hours of submitting for more information on their website. Nadia made herself available 24/7 via email and WhatsApp, even as I traveled across multiple time zones. Nadia provided multiple options in multiple locations with pros and cons and for each and stayed in touch throughout the process. I already recommended FlyMedi and specifically Nadia to friends and family considering Turkey for any medical tourism they may be considering. Thank you Nadia!

I'd been researching the procedure for a while and the cost in Australia was significantly higher than in Turkey. I came across the Flymedi website and within hours of submitting an enquiry, Nadia had reached out. She provided multiple quotes with different options, background on the doctors and hospitals. Nadia was available 24/7 and really helped me through everything from start to finish. Great business idea, exceptional staff and great customer service

I am really happy that I have planned my operation through Flymedi. Robin took great care of me and was always there for me and made everything possible. I had a breast lift and tummy tuck and had liposuction by Dr. Asli Datli. MedicalPark in Istanbul. she is a super doctor, the results has become very nice and was also there well cared for. Nurse Yeliz is adorable and has always been by my side. She was also always available and answered all my questions. I have felt very well, thanks again to all I am very satisfied.

Overview

Pterygium is a triangular, fleshy tissue layer extending from the conjunctiva and covering the white part of the eye on the cornea and is characterized by chronic inflammation, fibrovascular proliferation, and tissue invasion.A pterygium usually does not cause problems or requires treatment, but it grows large enough to cover the cornea and affects vision, it may need to be removed with pterygium surgery.

Preparation

Patients will be required to fast or eat a light meal while preparing the surgery. If patients wear contact lenses, they may be asked to not wear them for at least 24 hours before the procedure. As they will be lightly sedated, doctors will require them to arrange someone to drive after the surgery, as they are not able to drive themselves.

How It Is Performed

Before the surgery, doctors sedate the patients and numb their eyes to prevent discomfort during the pterygium surgery. According to the typical pterygium surgery technique the doctors use, they start to remove the pterygium along with some associated conjunctiva tissue. Once the pterygium is removed, it will be replaced with a graft of associated membrane tissue to prevent the pterygium will growth again. Pterygium surgery generally takes no more than 30 to 45 minutes.

Recovery

Recovery time of pterygium surgery may take anywhere between a couple of weeks to a couple of months. During this period, the signs of redness or discomfort should be totally gone. After the surgery, an eye patch or pad is applied to prevent infection. It's important not to rub the eyes to avoid dislodging the attached tissue of the eyes. In addition, some aftercare instructions will be provided for consideration during recovery, including cleaning procedures, antibiotics, and follow-up visits.

Although pterygium surgery generally provides successful and smooth results, some risks and complications may develop, such as:
