Excellent Service from Abud of Flymedi

Abud was excellent in arranging my visit to Istanbul for both Eyelid and Hair Treatment. I decided to combine both treatments at Estecenter due to the clinics reputation. recommendations and also Abud's guidance. Abud clearly communicated the types of treatments available , estimated costs , all treatment schedules , travel logistics , hotel arrangements and daily transportation to and from clinic. Through responses coordinated between Abud and Estecenter he answered all my questions beforehand and was concise in the cost of treatments being communicated by Estecenter . Truly excellent service and i highly recommend you engage Abud as this leaves you know worries in relaxing during and after your very important treatments that you waited so long to have done Also i decided to stay and additional 7 days , at my own cost in Istanbul, to help my recovery.

Life changing !

I had a massive operation with a full body lift that actually required 2 separate visits to Turkey which was very daunting for me to commit to but I’m so happy I did. I’ve never felt comfortable in my own skin and really struggled with my body especially after having 2 kids. It was really nice to do something for myself and Luna clinic made the experience hassle free for me. They were there for me from beginning to end through both visits and it couldn’t have gone better for me. Thank you so much for the life changing operation and experience.

Recommended For Incisional Hernia Repair

The most apparent symptom of incisional hernia is when it is discolored and occasionally aching bulge which results from part of an organ generally intestine, to stick out of the gap in abdominal muscles. If the incisional hernia becomes strangulated hernia, where the bulging tissue is out of its bloodstock and looks deep red or purple, then it is an emergency. In addition, hernia symptoms may come up with digestive system problems such as nausea, vomiting, and some other problems. Therefore, we should consult on a professional to get an appropriate diagnosis.

Not Recommended For Incisional Hernia Repair

Having the symptoms of incisional hernia and your professional's diagnosis can determine your suitability for incisional hernia repair.

Overview

You can see Incisional hernia in where your former incision is. Patients that had incisions has about 20% rate of developing incisional hernia although the incidence may look uncommon. Numerous web pages propose a myth for treating the hernia without surgery; in fact, there is no scientific evidence behind it. Therefore, incisional hernia repair carried out in the traditional way or with a laparoscope, are the most favored ways.

Preparation

Preparation starts with, speaking to your professional about your medical histories like the conditions you have and your medications. Then, leaving blood-thinners like aspirins days beforehand about your treatment. For the other preparations, you should speak out with your professional.

How It Is Performed

Incisional hernia repair surgery is performed by two methods: Traditional and Laparoscopy. Creating a new incision to move the organ back to abdomen and closing it with mesh is the traditional method but since it is an open surgery, it has a higher risk of infection than laparoscopy (a thin tube with a camera) has. On the other hand, laparoscopic hernia repair needed an accomplished professional. Therefore – choose wisely.

Recovery

The recovery period of hernia surgery is somewhat long. 2 to 5 days of hospital stay is awaited after your surgery. In addition to that, approximately 4 weeks of rest as being apart from work and sport is a must need for you to heal appropriately. Also to prevent the hernia from developing again, a special compression belt needed to be wear in this recovery period.

Risks

Repeated emergence of hernia is the most frequently seen complication of the repair. It makes the new surgery a requirement. Also, the infection may be another complication but is uncommon, especially if laparoscopy was the method of repair. Nerve damage or intestine damage are some uncommon cases that can result from the repair as well

Side Effects

No other side effect is seen beside the requirement of compression belt and avoidance of exhausting work.

Success Rates

As the techniques developing, the success rate of this repair seems moderate for now. Symptoms of hernia reappearance and requirement of surgery are 40% of former patients. However, it does not mean that you can resign from having your hernia operated. Still, leaving your hernia untreated, will eventually make your hernia strangulated and endanger your health and life.

Before And After

After incisional hernia repair, you should feel much better – after all, your appearance is improved, and you do not need to worry about possible complications related to this medical condition.

Faq

What is the Difference between Incisional Hernia and Other Hernias?
Other types of hernias are resulting from damage to your abdominal wall, whereas an incisional hernia is resulting from your former medical treatments and the incisions that healed incorrectly.

What is Better: Laparoscopic Hernia Repair or Classic Hernia Repair? There is no ultimate "better" and "worse" in this case. For some patients, laparoscopic hernia repair is better while in another classical method will bring better results. Moreover, extra expertise inability and care from your professional is required for laparoscopic hernia repair.

Can I Leave My Hernia Untreated? You can, but it is not a reasonable choice. The untreated incisional hernia will sooner or later turn into a strangulated hernia, which is a serious medical condition, leading to health problems and in extreme cases – to death.
