Step 1 – Reaching Out: Your First Click on Flymedi
It all starts with a question.
You might be scrolling through Instagram or browsing late at night on your phone, or maybe a friend recommended us. However you arrive, the first step is simple: visiting Flymedi.com and clicking “Get Your Free Consultation.”
Once you submit the form, one of our experienced medical consultants (someone who speaks your language) will reach out, often within the same day. We don’t just ask what procedure you want. We listen. We ask about your goals, medical history (if needed), and what motivates your decision.
Our approach is human. There’s no pressure or obligation—just an open conversation.

Step 2 – Clarifying the Right Treatment for You
Let’s be honest—choosing the proper treatment can be confusing. Many patients initially contact us thinking they want one thing, only to realize there might be a better or safer option for their goals. And that’s completely normal.
At this stage, our experienced medical consultants work closely with you to ensure that the proposed treatment truly fits your needs. It’s entirely about guiding you toward what makes sense for you.
You may have come in asking about liposuction, but after a closer look, a tummy tuck might offer better long-term results. Or you thought veneers were the right choice, but your dental health suggests implants would be safer. We explain the differences clearly so that you can make an informed decision.
Once your treatment plan is clarified, your case is handed over to a coordinator—someone who speaks your language and will be your main point of contact from this point on.
Step 3 – Meet Your Coordinator (And Yes, They Speak Your Language)
Once your treatment direction is confirmed, you’ll be introduced to your personal coordinator—a dedicated team member who will support you throughout the entire journey.
Here’s what makes this different from other platforms: your coordinator isn’t just someone who organizes logistics. They’re someone who gets you, communicates in your language, and stays by your side (remotely) before, during, and even after your trip. Whether it’s English, German, French, Spanish, Romanian, or Italian, we make sure nothing is lost in translation.
This is the person who will:

- Organize your itinerary
- Help you prepare step-by-step

Step 4 – Get to Know Your Doctor (Before You Even Book Your Flight)
Before any travel plans are made, you’ll be introduced to the doctor who may perform your procedure, and not just through a name and title.
Your coordinator will share the doctor’s full CV with you, including background, education, certifications, years of experience, and areas of specialization. In some cases, you’ll even receive options so you can compare and choose based on what matters to you.
Once you’ve chosen your doctor, we schedule a pre-evaluation call—usually via video—so you can speak directly with them. This conversation gives you the chance to:
- Share your expectations
- Understand the surgical approach.
- Ask honest questions
- Hear a medical opinion

Step 5 – Securing Your Spot
Once you've spoken with your coordinator, reviewed your doctor’s CV, and had your pre-evaluation, the next step is confirming your plan.
We ask for a small deposit to secure your surgery date, accommodation, and any necessary appointments. This is a symbolic but important step—it helps us lock in availability and begin making personalized arrangements for your trip.
Once you’re ready, your coordinator will explain how to complete the deposit smoothly and securely.

Step 6 – Travel Made Easy
Once your date is set, your Flymedi coordinator starts organizing everything on your behalf.
Here’s what’s typically arranged for you:
- Airport pickup with a private driver holding a name sign
- Hotel reservation close to your clinic or hospital
- A clear treatment itinerary, so you know what happens when
- Ongoing communication for any personal preferences (diet, travel companions, accessibility needs)

While no one from our team is physically with you at all times, your coordinator stays in constant touch through WhatsApp, phone, or email. You’re never left wondering what comes next.

Step 7 – Arrival & Pre-Surgery Preparation
Most Flymedi patients travel to Istanbul, where the majority of our partner clinics and hospitals are based. It’s a vibrant, modern city that blends comfort with culture, and it’s where most of our medical team and support staff are centered.
(That said, we do also work with trusted doctors in other cities across Turkey, depending on the treatment and patient needs—but more on that later.)
Upon landing at Istanbul Airport, you’ll be welcomed by a private transfer driver arranged by Flymedi. You’ll be taken directly to your hotel, which has already been reserved and confirmed for you. In many cases, your coordinator will check in with you that evening or the next morning to review the plan and ensure you feel comfortable.
Within a day or so, you’ll begin your pre-surgery tests and consultation. These typically include:
- Blood work and basic health checks
- Face-to-face meeting with your doctor
- Imaging (for dental, plastic surgery, or orthopaedic procedures)
- Any last-minute clarifications about the operation
Nothing feels rushed, and nothing feels uncertain. This is your time to ask questions, get to know your care team, and feel fully prepared for what’s ahead.

Step 8 – Surgery Day: You’re in Good Hands
Surgery day can bring a mix of excitement, and that’s completely normal.
Your coordinator will confirm all timings the day before. On the day itself, you’re brought to the clinic or hospital where your procedure will occur. Our partner facilities are all licensed and accredited, meeting local and international care standards. Cleanliness, safety, and patient privacy are treated as top priorities.
You’ll meet your surgeon again before the operation for a final review. Then, you’re prepared for the procedure with the help of a professional, multilingual medical team who knows exactly how to support international patients.
Your coordinator continues to check in throughout the day—and after. You’re never out of reach.
And once the operation is complete, the next chapter—recovery—begins.
Step 9 – Recovery & Aftercare in Istanbul
After your surgery, the focus turns to recovery. Whether you're staying in the hospital for a night or heading back to the hotel the same day (depending on the procedure), your comfort and safety remain our top priorities.
Your coordinator will continue to check in with you regularly—whether to help with post-op instructions, send you reminders, or simply ask how you’re feeling. While there isn’t someone physically by your side 24/7, you’re never out of reach. A simple message or call is all it takes to get support or answers.
Depending on your treatment, you may have:
- A final check-up with your surgeon before you leave
- Medication or dressings provided
- Written and verbal recovery instructions
- Advice for flying home safely
We also know that aftercare isn’t just medical—it’s emotional, too. You’ve just gone through something big in a country that may be far from home. That’s why we keep things personal. Whether you need help getting post-op photos to your doctor or just need to ask if something “feels normal,” your coordinator is always there.
Step 10 – Heading Home, But Still Supported
When it’s time to head home, you’ll have everything you need:
- Clear medical records
- Flight-safe recommendations
- WhatsApp access to your coordinator
- Doctor-approved post-op care instructions
