Prof. Zeynep Sevim

Prof. Dr. K. Zeynep Sevim graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1999, completing an internship at Mayo Clinic as a student. She trained in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital from 2001 and qualified as a specialist in 2006.

After working as a specialist in İzmir and Gaziantep she joined the plastic surgery clinic of Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul in 2010, becoming chief resident in 2012 and associate professor in 2015. She passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) examination in 2011 and completed courses in microsurgery at University Hospital Zurich and in perforator breast reconstruction at Duke University. From 2018 to 2022 she taught at İstinye University, heading its plastic surgery clinic as professor from 2021.

Her published work covers the breast, body contouring, the nose and reconstruction, including a review of 30 cases of congenital, developmental and acquired breast asymmetry (Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 2013), long-term results of an integrated approach to upper body shaping (Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 2025) and fish-scale cartilage grafts in rhinoplasty (Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 2026).

Her main interests are aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring after weight loss surgery, mommy makeover, gynecomastia correction, liposuction and facelift. She practices in Istanbul, is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association, and sees patients in Turkish and English.
