Angela went above and beyond my expectations. She is very friendly and you can always feel at ease contacting her. She made sure I was comfortable with our choice of surgeon Dr. Can Karaca and set up a video call for me. Always ready to help and answer any questions (she would always be available despite the 7 hour time difference)! I wasn’t really sure about traveling to Istanbul, Turkey for my procedure until I met Angela and she explained everything from start to finish and stood behind her words to always be of assistance. Mind you I have been researching for months now for a good doctor and went back and forth between waiting 2 years to get my surgery done in Canada or even traveling to Mexico for it! I was thinking Turkey would be a difficult route due to time difference and the distance but I’m very happy I chose to go to Turkey with Flymedi and I’m glad my agent was Angela Sabou! Do not hesitate to work with Flymedi and especially request Angela if you can!!! - a very satisfied client

Adonis Fertility International Caring Professionals

After trying IVF unsuccessfully in the US for many years Maria from Adonis Fertility International gave me hope. I was very impressed by her work ethic and I trusted she would work hard at helping us become parents. Her communication was top-notch. I choose Adonis because of Maria and then worked with Amy, Nancy, and Ivanna and ALL were Amazing. Everything is broken down for you in steps and very organized. There was always someone there to answer a question you may. Its been a very smooth process, with all the legal documents and made transporting the biomaterial stress-free. We are still in our beginning stages and I will give another review at the end but everything so far has been excellent and I would recommend Adonis to any US couple looking to try IVF and hopefully become parents.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I was really hesitant at first, because I’ve never done anything like this before, but Kirstie did a great job of answering all my questions & concerns, in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using this service.

At the beginning, I was very hesitant about having my surgeries, especially the idea of having them in Turkey, which is a country located across the ocean of where I come from, the United States of America. When I initially started my research, I came across Flymedi, and I strongly believe that connecting with them was the best decision I have made in regards of having my desired surgeries. After entering my contact information, I was contacted from Flymedi by an agent named Abud. On one hand, Abud has been a great assist and support to my journey, as he was involved in every step throughout the process. He was very responsive to all my concerns and inquiries before and after the operations. On the other hand, everyone at the clinic that I was referred to (EstEthica) was very nice and welcoming. The in-person consultant on site (Lamia) was extremely helpful and kind. She, along with the whole clinic staff, made me feel so comfortable and made the whole trip seem as smooth as possible, despite the discomfort after the surgeries. In terms of the results, I can not speak of this just yet as it has only been a week since I have had my operations. However, I will definitely come back within a couple of months to update my review and speak about the results and any other additional notes along the way. In a nutshell, all I can say that I am grateful for everything so far, and I truly appreciate everyone that was involved in this process! P.S. as a word of advice, if you are having a hair transplant operation, I highly recommend having it at least 3 - 4 days before your departure flight back home, as the post operation instructions are a bit intense and not being in a rush would significantly help with the recovery process.

Overview

Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammaplasty or reduction mammoplasty surgery is a safe, effective and beneficial plastic surgery that is used to reduce the size of very large breasts by enhancing their shape and symmetry while maintaining full functionality in the region – this means the lactational capacity of the breasts is preserved.

Breast reduction surgery can be performed for three different purposes:

  • Physical – Extremely large breasts may lead to difficulties in ordinary activities such as sports
  • Aesthetic – Some patients complain of discomfort due to the size of their breasts
  • Psychological – Some patients feel that this particular appearance of the body does not represent them
  • Gynecomastia – breast reduction surgery for male patients
  • Mastopexy – Breast lift surgery – it can be successfully combined with breast reduction surgery

Procedures similar to breast reduction surgery include:

Every year, surgeons perform over 60,000 reduction mammoplasty surgeries in the USA alone.

Women usually turn to this treatment in order to relieve neck pain, back pain, and even shoulder pain arising from the big breasts.

Preparation

Patients should stop smoking at least a month before going in for breast reduction surgery. The usage of aspirin, vitamins, and herbal supplements are prohibited at least two weeks before reduction mammoplasty surgery. Patients should also prepare aftercare requirements before the surgery, such as plenty of ice and gauze and clean washcloths and towels.

How It Is Performed

Firstly, the patient will be put to sleep, under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Then the surgeon will begin marking the incision spots. Usually, the surgeon will create an incision around the nipple, and then down to the crease where the breast meets the chest wall. A circular, keyhole or an inverted “T” shape pattern incision around the areola could be used. Once the incision is created, the surgeon will proceed to remove the patient's extra fat, skin, and mammary tissue from the breast, and the underlying breast tissue is lifted and shaped. After that, the surgeon repositions the nipple to a more appropriate level. Breast reduction scars are usually permanent, or if visible they can be usually well concealed beneath a swimsuit or bra. Drains are then placed, and the incision is stitched up before being wrapped in bandages. The surgery is completed at this point, and the breast reduction recovery period can begin.

Recovery

The breast reduction recovery period lasts around 2 weeks but it may take more time for the breast reduction scars to become less visible. Patients will be required to wear a special medical support bra during the breast reduction recovery period. Sleeping on the stomach is not allowed during this period. Patients can usually return to work in around 1-2 weeks but sports should be avoided for at least 2-3 weeks. Clinics usually provide patients with a full set of instructions in order to make the breast reduction recovery period easier to handle. The breast reduction recovery period generally lasts around 2 weeks, but it may take more time for the breast reduction scars to become less visible. Success Rates

The average breast reduction surgery success rate is around 98% according to studies conducted. Patients have a lower chance of developing complications after reduction mammoplasty surgery.

Before And After

Reduction mammoplasty surgery patients enjoy a more active lifestyle after the procedure. This procedure is a relief for women suffering from chronic shoulder, neck and back pain arising from the size of the breasts. The effects of reduction mammoplasty are practically indefinite – the procedure is life changing for most patients.

Faq

Can I Breastfeed After Reduction Mammoplasty Surgery?
There is no definitive answer to this question. If the ducts and glands that produce milk are damaged, there may be problems with breastfeeding in the future. During a breast reduction surgery, some of the nerves responsible for sensation and reflex, which stimulates your brain to produce milk when a baby sucks on your nipple, can also be interrupted. These are the risks, but with a skilled and experienced surgeon, the risks of affecting breastfeeding can be minimized.

Can Reduction Mammoplasty Surgery Be Combined with Other Procedures?
Yes, patients can combine reduction mammoplasty surgery with a tummy tuck procedure for a better result. Besides, women may get the best results by receiving a combination of breast reduction and breast lift procedures.

Can Liposuction Be Used Alone For Reduction Mammoplasty Surgery?
Yes, in some cases, surgeons decide that liposuction is enough to bring the desired results, but most circumstances require excision of skin tissue as well.
