Angela went above and beyond my expectations. She is very friendly and you can always feel at ease contacting her. She made sure I was comfortable with our choice of surgeon Dr. Can Karaca and set up a video call for me. Always ready to help and answer any questions (she would always be available despite the 7 hour time difference)! I wasn’t really sure about traveling to Istanbul, Turkey for my procedure until I met Angela and she explained everything from start to finish and stood behind her words to always be of assistance. Mind you I have been researching for months now for a good doctor and went back and forth between waiting 2 years to get my surgery done in Canada or even traveling to Mexico for it! I was thinking Turkey would be a difficult route due to time difference and the distance but I’m very happy I chose to go to Turkey with Flymedi and I’m glad my agent was Angela Sabou! Do not hesitate to work with Flymedi and especially request Angela if you can!!! - a very satisfied client

Adonis Fertility International Caring Professionals

After trying IVF unsuccessfully in the US for many years Maria from Adonis Fertility International gave me hope. I was very impressed by her work ethic and I trusted she would work hard at helping us become parents. Her communication was top-notch. I choose Adonis because of Maria and then worked with Amy, Nancy, and Ivanna and ALL were Amazing. Everything is broken down for you in steps and very organized. There was always someone there to answer a question you may. Its been a very smooth process, with all the legal documents and made transporting the biomaterial stress-free. We are still in our beginning stages and I will give another review at the end but everything so far has been excellent and I would recommend Adonis to any US couple looking to try IVF and hopefully become parents.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I was really hesitant at first, because I’ve never done anything like this before, but Kirstie did a great job of answering all my questions & concerns, in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using this service.

At the beginning, I was very hesitant about having my surgeries, especially the idea of having them in Turkey, which is a country located across the ocean of where I come from, the United States of America. When I initially started my research, I came across Flymedi, and I strongly believe that connecting with them was the best decision I have made in regards of having my desired surgeries. After entering my contact information, I was contacted from Flymedi by an agent named Abud. On one hand, Abud has been a great assist and support to my journey, as he was involved in every step throughout the process. He was very responsive to all my concerns and inquiries before and after the operations. On the other hand, everyone at the clinic that I was referred to (EstEthica) was very nice and welcoming. The in-person consultant on site (Lamia) was extremely helpful and kind. She, along with the whole clinic staff, made me feel so comfortable and made the whole trip seem as smooth as possible, despite the discomfort after the surgeries. In terms of the results, I can not speak of this just yet as it has only been a week since I have had my operations. However, I will definitely come back within a couple of months to update my review and speak about the results and any other additional notes along the way. In a nutshell, all I can say that I am grateful for everything so far, and I truly appreciate everyone that was involved in this process! P.S. as a word of advice, if you are having a hair transplant operation, I highly recommend having it at least 3 - 4 days before your departure flight back home, as the post operation instructions are a bit intense and not being in a rush would significantly help with the recovery process.

Overview

A hernia is a tissue that protrudes from a weak point in the abdominal wall. Your intestines may overflow from this weakened area. Inguinal hernia repairor inguinal hernia surgery is a procedure performed to repair and treat this hernia.

Most often, hernia affects the inguinal and umbilical area, and it is a consequence of a weakened abdomen, skin tissue, and muscles. It can also appear in other areas like the groin and upper thi

Preparation

If after a thorough examination, the surgeon determines that inguinal hernia repair is right for you, you should know:

• You may need further medical evaluations
• You need to be informed fully and clearly over the risks and complications of this type of surgery
• Before the operation, you should stop any medication that involves blood thinners such as aspirin. You should avoid intaking anti-inflammatories, vitamin E or some herbal supplements
• You will be asked to quit smoking before and after the surgery to prevent its negative effect in the healing process
• Immediately after the surgery, you may need extra help to drive you home or for your daily activities

How It Is Performed

If left untreated, this disease can cause serious complications, and if you have any symptoms, it is recommended that you go for a check-up as soon as possible.

There are two types of surgical inguinal hernia treatments

The laparoscopic method or Laparoscopic treatment:

The laparoscopic method or Laparoscopic treatment is a surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia with a tool named laparoscope and a special camera that allows the surgeon to visualize the hernia and surrounding tissue on a video screen. The surgeon will perform the operation with the help of cannulas inserted through three tiny incisions. A small piece of surgical mesh will be placed to reinforce the abdominal wall over the hole produced by hernia. When structures are placed in their proper locations, your surgeon will cover the opening with sutures, staples, or adhesive glue. This is a less invasive procedure, and it has a shorter recovery period than open surgery, although the risk of hernia recurrence may be greater with laparoscopic repair.

Inguinal Hernia Surgery:
For inguinal hernia repair surgery, the doctor will perform a deeper incision by suturing the hole in the stomach and tighten the abdominal muscles. Open hernia repair can be done under general, spinal, or local anesthesia, while Laparoscopic repair requires general anesthesia. This type of procedure requires longer recovery time and involves the risk of not being able to move normally for a period of up to six weeks.

Recovery

Inguinal hernia surgery recovery time depends on the type of procedure performed. Laparoscopic treatment is less invasive and is associated with a shorter recovery period (1 to 2 weeks) than an open inguinal hernia surgery (up to 6 weeks).

Risks

Inguinal hernia repair complications are rare, but they can occur:
• Bleeding
• Infection

• Blood clots
• Difficulties at urination
• Bruising and swelling
• Recurrence

• Pain

• Risk of injury for other organs like intestines, blood vessels, and bladder.

Side Effects

Inguinal hernia surgery is associated with the following side effects
• Pain or soreness in the first 24 to 48 hours after the surgery
• Difficulties at urination
• Difficulties in moving normally

• Wound infection

Success Rates

Inguinal Hernia Repair has a very high success rate if it is diagnosed and treated in time.

Before And After

After an inguinal hernia repair or inguinal hernia surgery, patients are transferred to a restroom until they wake up, and if they can walk, drink water and urinate, they are released from the hospital. Pain or discomfort is normal within the first 24 to 48 hours after inguinal hernia repair. After a laparoscopic treatment, the patient will be able to return to normal activities in about a week. Open inguinal hernia surgery is associated with longer and more difficult recovery time. A follow-up appointment is recommended two weeks after inguinal hernia repair.
