A simple mastectomy is a type of mastectomy practice that is taking out nearly all of one’s breast with the inclusion of areola, nipple, skin, and fat tissue. Contrary to modified radical mastectomy, lymph nodes do not take out by professionals. Generally, when the possibility of using other, more conservative treatment for breast cancer is none, breast removal surgery via simple mastectomy is carried out.
Professionals select the types of mastectomy by considering the patients’ circumstances they are in. Breast cancer patients that have a need to do cut out more than segmental mastectomy do but also did not extended to lymph nodes can be the candidates.
