Fertility treatment in Turkey means IVF, ICSI and their variations, embryo genetic testing for medical reasons and egg freezing in defined circumstances, in licensed centres, for married couples using their own eggs and sperm. Donation, surrogacy and sex selection are not permitted. This page explains which treatment fits which problem, how to read the figures clinics quote, what a cycle involves from abroad, who Turkey is not the right country for, and what a quote should contain.
Figures are ranges, not promises. Suitability needs an individual assessment by a doctor.
Each clinic sets its own price, so check what the price includes before comparing two of them.

Fertility treatment in Turkey means IVF, ICSI and their variations, embryo genetic testing for medical reasons, and egg freezing in defined circumstances, carried out in licensed assisted reproduction centres for married couples using their own eggs and sperm. That last clause is the one to read twice. Turkish law does not permit egg, sperm or embryo donation, surrogacy, or the selection of a baby's sex for anything other than avoiding a serious inherited disease. If a clinic offers you a donor cycle in Turkey, it is either not in Turkey or not legal, and neither is a place to start a pregnancy.
Within those limits the country has a large number of centres, experienced embryology laboratories and prices well below Western Europe and North America. This page explains which treatment fits which problem, how to read the figures clinics quote, what a cycle involves when you live abroad, who Turkey is not the right country for, and what a quote for fertility treatment should contain.
Standard IVF stimulates the ovaries, collects eggs, fertilises them in the laboratory and transfers an embryo. ICSI injects a single sperm into each egg and is the answer to most male-factor problems and to failed fertilisation. IMSI is ICSI with the sperm chosen under much higher magnification; it costs more and the evidence that it produces more babies is weak. Genetic testing of embryos, PGT, is for couples carrying a known inherited condition or chromosome rearrangement, and in some circumstances for repeated loss, and it needs ICSI, embryo freezing and usually a second trip.
What none of these do is replace eggs that are no longer there. Where a woman's own eggs are unlikely to work, the honest advice in most countries is donor eggs, and that advice cannot be followed in Turkey. A clinic that proposes cycle after cycle with your own eggs at an age or reserve where donation would be the standard recommendation is selling cycles, not treatment.
Each treatment has its own page: IVF in Turkey, ICSI, IVF with IMSI and PGD and embryo genetic testing.
Ask every clinic for the same thing: live births per cycle started, by the woman's age band, using the couple's own eggs, for the most recent complete year. That is the only figure that can be compared across clinics, and even then it is not a prediction for you. Pregnancy per transfer, fertilisation rates and blastocyst rates are laboratory measures that say nothing about babies.
Cumulative figures, meaning the chance of a birth after all the embryos from one collection have been used, are more useful than single-transfer figures and are the honest basis for planning how many cycles you might need and what they will cost. A clinic that will not give you its figures in this form has told you something.
The clinic listing on this page shows each clinic's current price with a note of what it includes. For paying in instalments, see payment plans. For the treatment most people are comparing, see IVF in Turkey.
