Turkey is one of the busiest destinations for IVF, and for many people the cost and the waiting time are the reasons. Before you compare clinics, there is one thing worth knowing: Turkish law does not permit donor eggs, donor sperm, donor embryos or surrogacy. If your treatment plan needs any of those, Turkey cannot provide it, whatever the price. This page explains what is available, what it costs, and how to choose between the clinics listed below.
Figures are ranges, not promises. Suitability needs an individual assessment by a doctor.
Each clinic sets its own price, so check what the price includes before comparing two of them.

In vitro fertilisation is a treatment in which eggs are collected, fertilised in a laboratory and transferred back to the uterus as an embryo. A course of treatment is called a cycle, and more than one cycle is often needed. Whether IVF is right for you, and which version of it, is a decision a fertility specialist makes with you after an assessment.
This section comes first because it decides whether Turkey is an option for you at all, and it is the point people most often discover too late.
Ask any clinic to confirm in writing that it can lawfully provide the treatment you are asking for, in your circumstances, before you pay a deposit. If Turkey is not the right fit, tell us and we will show you countries that are.
Against that: you are coordinating care across two countries, travelling on dates your cycle decides rather than your diary, and arranging follow up at home. A lower price does not by itself say anything about the outcome. Weigh both sides.
Each clinic sets its own price, and the clinic list on this page shows what each one currently charges and what that figure covers. Rather than repeating a number here that would go out of date, it is more useful to know what makes two quotes differ:
Ask for a written quote that separates the cycle from medication, tests, added techniques, and freezing and storage. Then ask the question people most often forget: what happens to the price if the cycle is cancelled before egg collection, or if no embryo is suitable for transfer.
Most of the fertility clinics listed here are in Istanbul, which is the easiest city to reach from abroad and has the largest concentration of units treating international patients. There are also clinics elsewhere, including on the coast.
City matters less than it does for a one visit procedure, because an IVF cycle may bring you back more than once and part of your monitoring happens at home. Choose on the clinic and the specialist first, then on how easily you can reach them, and use the filters on the clinic list to narrow by location.
IVF is used for blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, endometriosis, ovulation disorders, male factor infertility and unexplained infertility, among others. In Turkey it is provided using the couple's own eggs and sperm, so treatment plans that depend on a donor are not possible there.
Age affects the chance of success and clinics differ in where they set their limits, so ask a clinic directly what it advises in your case rather than working from a general rule. Your test results, your medical history and any previous cycles all feed into that judgement, and it is made by a specialist rather than by a website.
This depends on your protocol and on how much monitoring your clinic is willing to have done at home. Some patients complete a cycle in a single trip; others come for the stimulation phase and again for transfer, or return later for a frozen embryo transfer.
Ask for the plan that applies to you before you book anything, and ask two specific questions: who arranges your monitoring scans at home, and who reads the results. Keep your travel flexible, because the dates follow your cycle.
Published success figures are the hardest thing to compare in fertility care, because clinics measure them differently. A figure only means something once you know how it was calculated, so ask these questions before you compare any two numbers:
No clinic can promise that IVF will work, and any that implies otherwise is worth treating carefully. Your own chance depends on your diagnosis, your age and your test results, and your specialist is the person who can talk you through it honestly.
IVF is generally well tolerated, but it is a medical treatment and your clinic should go through the risks that apply to you before you consent. Common side effects during a cycle include bloating, cramping, breast tenderness, headaches, mood changes and bruising at injection sites. Beyond those:
Seek urgent medical attention if you have severe abdominal pain or swelling, difficulty breathing, severe or persistent vomiting, a sharp drop in how much you are passing urine, or heavy bleeding, whether you are still in Turkey or already home. If you have travelled home, contact your local emergency services first, then tell the clinic what has happened.
| What to check | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Legal eligibility | Can you lawfully treat me, in my circumstances, with my own eggs and sperm? Confirm in writing before I pay a deposit. |
| Licensing and accreditation | Are you licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health, and what other accreditation do you hold? |
| The team | Who is my named doctor, who performs the egg collection and transfer, and who leads the laboratory? |
| The laboratory | What equipment and techniques does the lab use, and is it separately certified? The lab does much of the work that decides the outcome. |
| Success data | May I see your own published figures, broken down by age band, stating what they count and what they are measured per? |
| The protocol | Is the plan tailored to my test results, and what would make you change or cancel it? |
| Price and inclusions | What exactly does the quote cover, what is charged separately, and what happens if the cycle is cancelled or no embryo is suitable? |
| Aftercare | Who do I contact once I am home, how quickly do you respond, and what do you cover if there is a complication? |
| Language | Is interpreting provided, and is an interpreter present for consent and discharge instructions? |
| Consent and ethics | What am I consenting to, in writing, and what are your policies on embryo storage and disposal? |
| Logistics | How many trips does my protocol need, and how far is the clinic from the airport and from accommodation? |
