Excellent Service from Abud of Flymedi

Abud was excellent in arranging my visit to Istanbul for both Eyelid and Hair Treatment. I decided to combine both treatments at Estecenter due to the clinics reputation. recommendations and also Abud's guidance. Abud clearly communicated the types of treatments available , estimated costs , all treatment schedules , travel logistics , hotel arrangements and daily transportation to and from clinic. Through responses coordinated between Abud and Estecenter he answered all my questions beforehand and was concise in the cost of treatments being communicated by Estecenter . Truly excellent service and i highly recommend you engage Abud as this leaves you know worries in relaxing during and after your very important treatments that you waited so long to have done Also i decided to stay and additional 7 days , at my own cost in Istanbul, to help my recovery.

Life changing !

I had a massive operation with a full body lift that actually required 2 separate visits to Turkey which was very daunting for me to commit to but I’m so happy I did. I’ve never felt comfortable in my own skin and really struggled with my body especially after having 2 kids. It was really nice to do something for myself and Luna clinic made the experience hassle free for me. They were there for me from beginning to end through both visits and it couldn’t have gone better for me. Thank you so much for the life changing operation and experience.

Recommended For Knee Arthroscopy

Knee arthroscopy is performed to identify the problem in the knee and if it is possible to deal with knee injuries. If it is not possible for the doctors to identify the problem without the operation for the patients who are suffering from knee pain and abnormal changes in their knees, these patients can be suitable for knee arthroscopy. The following conditions can be identified and dealt with by performing a knee arthroscopy:
• torn meniscus
• Cysts in one’s knee
• Fractures appearing in the knee bones
• Torn cartilage pieces
And many others.

Not Recommended For Knee Arthroscopy

If the patient is suffering from knee problems, and if doctors are not able to recognize the problem by physical examination, it is most likely that the patient will need an arthroscopic knee surgery done.

Overview

Knee arthroscopy is a surgical procedure that aims to handle the medical issues in the knee. Knee arthroscopy is an orthopedic procedure. Orthopedists make small incisions rather than big ones, during the procedure. While performing the knee arthroscopy, surgeons use a medical tool called arthroscopy, which involves a tiny camera to see the incision site. Due to the use of arthroscopy, the operation has a very short recovery period, and the risk for the side effects are less.

Preparation

Since knee arthroscopy is not a severely invasive method, there is no need for advanced preparation. However, you should tell your doctor about your medical conditions and the medications you have been using. Also, a couple of days before the knee arthroscopy operation, you should stop taking medications with blood-thinning qualities such as aspirin. In addition, before the operation, you need to fast for a couple of hours.

How It Is Performed

Knee arthroscopy is a relatively easy orthopedic practice. While performing knee arthroscopy, surgeons make small cuts, and a certain amount of saline water is pumped inside so as to get a better sight of the patient’s joints. Then, the arthroscope is put into the incision, and orthopedist starts to look for sources of patient's knee problems. Then, if the problem encountered is treatable on the spot, orthopedist operates it.

Recovery

The recovery period of knee arthroscopy does not last for too long. Once the operation is completed, you can leave the hospital, but you should not be driving. For a couple of days after the operation, you should not move very often, so it is better to have somebody taking care of you. After that, the knee rehabilitation period begins. However, the recovery period is depended on the type of knee problem that was dealt with during surgery.

Risks

Arthroscopic knee surgery has several risks and complications. These are of dual nature. In any kind of invasive surgery, there are complications and risks involved, such as excessive bleeding and infections. Also, knee arthroscopy has some specific complications and risks which are nerve and muscle damage, accumulation of blood in the patient’s knee or formation of a blood clot. However, these complications do not frequently occur during the operation.

Side Effects

After the operation, most of the patients experience excessive pain and swelling in the operated area. However, pain can be eased with the help of the painkillers and the application of ice.

Success Rates

If the operation is performed in order to identify the problem in the knee- as a diagnostic procedure, most of the time it is completed successfully. If the operation is performed to deal with the knee injuries, there are several success rates involved -since there is a variety of different knee problems such as the torn meniscus, problems with knee ligaments and the other conditions which necessitate arthroscopic knee surgery.

Before And After

After the surgery, the patient should not neglect the importance of proper rehabilitation since it fastens the recovery period and increases the patient’s life quality.

Faq

What is Knee Arthroscopy
Knee arthroscopy surgery is performed with the use of arthroscopy and tiny tools in order to identify and struggle with the problems of the patient’s knee.

What is the Difference between Knee Arthroscopy and other Knee Surgeries?
The main difference is the size of surgical intervention – in the case of knee arthroscopy, incisions are minimal thanks to using the arthroscope, while in classical knee surgeries incisions are much bigger and therefore – harder to heal after.

Will I Have to Stay in Hospital after Knee Arthroscopy?
Knee arthroscopy is an outpatient procedure. Therefore, you can leave the hospital when the operation is completed, and the anesthesia wears off. However, someone should assist you in the home.
