I travelled all the way from US by myself to come here and get rhinoplasty done, my surgery was a week ago by Dr Hasan duygulu he is extremely professional and excellent at his job. My whole stay was made very easy and comforting by Kate, Sultan and Enes. I have been coordinating with Kate this whole time from the start till the end. She has been amazing throughout and ensuring. They all were there for me when i needed them and even after. It was a great decision for me and i m totally proud of myself that i was able to find the best and proceeded with it. I thank everyone part of luna clinic and the hospital for your kind and loving hospitality. I will recommend coming to Dr Hasan to everyone and anyone without any hesitation

I would highly recommend Flymedi and Abud

I would highly recommend Flymedi. My mom had a gastric balloon fitted at the Luna clinic and everything went smoothly. When I was looking for a clinic in Turkey I found Flymedi as medical tourism, I contacted them by email and they got back to me in a short time. I was assigned Abud as health coordinator and I don’t have enough words to thank him. He’s professional but on top of that he loves what he’s doing and he does really care. As I said before I don’t have enough words to thank Abud and Flymedi and I’m so happy I made the right decision by choosing them. If you want to have the bed experience choose Flymedi and you won’t regret it.

Rhinoplasty 12 days ago- Luna Clinic- Dr. Hasan Duygulu

I had my rhinoplasty done exactly 12 days ago with doctor Hasan Duygulu. Before flying to Istanbul, I was very scared of doing this somewhere far from home but , from the first day of our arrival I knew I chose the right clinic; we met Sultan at the gate of the hospital, she was extremely nice and accommodating and organised, she comforted and still comforting me with answering every question and concerns possible and was with me through the whole before, during and after process which I am still experiencing btw. At the day of the surgery we met doctor Hasan, he is very nice and professional, I told him what I wanted and he took pictures of my face and showed me what my nose could approximately look like after the surgery and addressed my concerns and questions which were a lot btw :) he came to visit me right after I woke up and the next morning as well. The hospital was very luxurious and the nurses were very nice and all our needs were met perfectly, everything was super organised and easy. Today I removed my cast and I am very happy with the results as early as it is with the swelling I am very satisfied and I cant wait to see the final results which seem to be very close to the pictures he showed me. Thank you Luna clinic and especially Sultan for making this life changing decisions the best decision I made. The whole experience was easy, trusted and comfortable thanks to you

I would definitely recommend booking through Flymedi.

If you are thinking about surgery in Turkey, I would definitely recommend booking through Flymedi. Abud was my contact and is there for you 24/7. He was quick to respond and did his very best to answer every question and keep me calm in what can be, a new and scary experience. I would highly recommend and you can be sure you are lucky if he is your contact. The hospital was very clean and staff were very professional and kind. The doctor did an amazing job and I am thrilled!!

Totally recommend

The whole process went really smooth from the beginning, it was really easy to communicate with them. I had my mommy makeover done in June, 2021 and the only thing I regretted is putting off my surgery for some years because I did not want to travel abroad, but in the end it was all worth it. The prices are much lower and I was happy with my surgeon (Prof. Omer), he is such a friendly person and an amazing surgeon as well. I love my results and I've never felt so confident in my body, even before the pregnancy. I can recommend Flymedi and my surgeon in particular.

Recommended For Ovarian Cancer Treatment

It has been long believed that there is no such a thing as ovarian cancer symptoms. However, in recent years doctors and patients agree that there are clear signs of ovarian cancer which should catch our attention, such as:

• Constant bloating

• Abdominal or pelvic pain

• Feeling full right after eating

• More frequent urge to go to the toilet

As we see, symptoms of ovarian cancer may be confused with other medical conditions such as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). However, it is better to consult your gynaecologist or oncologist before ruling out the possibility of ovarian cancer. It is highly advised especially to women, who have a history of ovarian cancer running in the family.

Not Recommended For Ovarian Cancer Treatment

Most patients are able to undergo ovarian cancer treatment. Nevertheless, some medical conditions or general state of health of a patient may deem treatment of cancer impossible. Additionally, a late ovarian cancer diagnosis may mean that standard treatment is not possible or effective anymore. Especially patients with stage 4 ovarian cancer will be treated with palliative methods rather than operation or chemotherapy treatment.

Overview

Ovarian cancer is cancer which attacks ovaries. While it is most common among women after menopause, it can also affect younger patients. Ovarian cancer affects tens of thousands of patients every year but the development of ovarian cancer treatment methods leads to increase survival rate. Many women decide to have their treatment for ovarian cancer abroad, especially if they have to fund it on their own.

Preparation

Preparation for ovarian cancer treatment starts with informing your oncologist about your medical history and giving a list of all medications you take. As for ovarian cancer surgery, it is important to stop smoking for some weeks before it. You will be given a list of breath and leg exercises which aim at preventing lung infection as well as forming of blood clots. Finally, you will be asked to fast for up to 6 hours before your surgery for ovarian cancer.

As for chemotherapy treatment, there is no fixed preparation. However, it is better to have all other medical procedures such as dental treatments done before starting chemotherapy.

How It Is Performed

Especially in early stages, ovarian cancer treatment has two key elements:

• Ovarian cancer surgery – it aims at resection of as much of cancer cells as possible. Since cancer spreads outside of ovaries themselves, in general, a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is performed, which means removal of one’s womb, cervix, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. However, other types of hysterectomy may be taken into consideration.

• Chemotherapy treatment for ovarian cancer – chemotherapy follows the surgery for ovarian cancer and aims at killing all cancer cells left in patient’s body. Chemotherapy treatment is a cancer treatment utilising highly effective drugs injected into one’s blood circulation or swallowed in a form of a pill.

Recovery

Recovery from ovarian cancer surgery may take several weeks (4-6 weeks on average). For the first few days, you will stay at a hospital. You will have a drain in order to remove fluid from the site of your surgery as well as a catheter to urinate. After a few days, you will be allowed to go home. While a reasonable amount of movement is allowed and even encouraged, do not try to make heavy works for the first few weeks after surgery for ovarian cancer.

As for chemotherapy treatment which follows ovarian cancer surgery, it may make you feel weak and exhausted. It is advised to have a healthy diet and exercise within one’s capability. There will be also some long-lasting side effects of chemotherapy.

Risks

Risks of ovarian cancer surgery involve:

• Damage to other organs such as bowels, bladder.

• Infection.

• Internal bleeding.

As for chemotherapy treatment risks, these are:

• Damage to lungs

• Problems with kidneys

• Neurological problems

• Secondary cancer risk

Side Effects

To main side effects of ovarian cancer treatment belongs infertility. Additionally, there are side effects of chemotherapy treatment such as nausea, a feeling of tiredness and weakness, problems with the digestive system and loss of appetite. However, these does not appear in every patient with the same intensity.

Success Rates

Ovarian cancer survival rate is quite high as compared to other types of cancer. 46% of patients who underwent ovarian cancer treatment live more than 5 years and these results are growing as the time passes.

Faq

Is there a Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer Treatment?

All cases of ovarian cancer are individual, the eventual success of treatment for ovarian cancer depends both on stages of ovarian cancer as well as on the age and general condition of a patient. For this reason, it is better to consult your oncologist.

Why Isn’t a Radiation Treatment Used in Treatment for Ovarian Cancer?

After many trials oncologists came to a consensus that radiation treatment is not very effective in treating ovarian cancer. However, it is used in fighting cancer of other types.

What are the Causes of Ovarian Cancer?

It is still not totally established. Family history seems to be of significance, other causes of ovarian cancer remain unknown.
