How Is The Procedure Performed?

Before the procedure, your surgeon will give you local anesthesia. Then your surgeon will start the procedure. Since there is no need to make incisions in this technique of hair transplant, the next step will be the extraction process.

Your surgeon will extract the hair follicles from the donor area, using a specially designed instrument with a diameter of 1mm or less.

The extracted hair follicles are then implanted directly into the recipient area using an implant tool. No holes or slits are needed. You can always ask your surgeon to give you sedatives if you're feeling anxious to help you relax.

How To Prepare For DHI Hair Transplantation?

  • A week before the procedure, you should stop taking Aspirin and any other medication associated with blood thinning.

  • If you are allergic to any drugs, you should inform your surgeon.

  •  Avoid smoking 24 hours before the surgery.

  • Consuming any alcoholic beverages can affect anesthesia. Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to surgery.

  • If you are taking medication for chronic or acute diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, you should inform your surgeon before the surgery.
