What Is Radiesse?

Radiesse is an injectable cosmetic skin treatment made of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in a gel carrier of sterile water for injection, glycerin, and sodium carboxymethylcellulose.

The gel helps older women regain their youthful definition by removing wrinkles and tightening the skin.

Radiesse features a unique mode of action and helps the skin regain its youthful tightness and elasticity through wrinkle filling, volume lifting, and skin rejuvenation.

Radiesse Injection Recovery

Following radiesse treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, and bruising. Besides, you may experience tenderness at the injection site for a few days following the treatment.

Depending upon the areas treated and the quality of radiesse filler used, you may experience firmness for 1 to 2 weeks after the treatment. After a while, you may experience softness around the injection site.

However, people who undergo radiesse rarely experience any downtime. Taking time off work is unnecessary, and you can resume the usual daily activities following the treatment. In case of unfamiliar radiesse side effects, talk to your doctor.

How Is The Radiesse Filler Performed?

Radiesse works by stimulating the naturally occurring collagen beneath the skin. The effects occur immediately and can last for up to two years. The high level of effectiveness makes radiesse a highly sought-after choice for dermal filling.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is radiesse permanent?

No. Radiesse is not a permanent treatment. However, the treatment results are relatively long-lasting.

How long does radiesse last?

The injection lasts for about 15 months. However, doctors recommend that you should come in after seven months for a touch-up treatment.

Is Radiesse better than Juvederm?

Generally, radiesse lasts longer compared to how long Juvederm lasts. This is because radiesse can increase collagen production within the skin.
