Angela went above and beyond my expectations. She is very friendly and you can always feel at ease contacting her. She made sure I was comfortable with our choice of surgeon Dr. Can Karaca and set up a video call for me. Always ready to help and answer any questions (she would always be available despite the 7 hour time difference)! I wasn’t really sure about traveling to Istanbul, Turkey for my procedure until I met Angela and she explained everything from start to finish and stood behind her words to always be of assistance. Mind you I have been researching for months now for a good doctor and went back and forth between waiting 2 years to get my surgery done in Canada or even traveling to Mexico for it! I was thinking Turkey would be a difficult route due to time difference and the distance but I’m very happy I chose to go to Turkey with Flymedi and I’m glad my agent was Angela Sabou! Do not hesitate to work with Flymedi and especially request Angela if you can!!! - a very satisfied client

Adonis Fertility International Caring Professionals

After trying IVF unsuccessfully in the US for many years Maria from Adonis Fertility International gave me hope. I was very impressed by her work ethic and I trusted she would work hard at helping us become parents. Her communication was top-notch. I choose Adonis because of Maria and then worked with Amy, Nancy, and Ivanna and ALL were Amazing. Everything is broken down for you in steps and very organized. There was always someone there to answer a question you may. Its been a very smooth process, with all the legal documents and made transporting the biomaterial stress-free. We are still in our beginning stages and I will give another review at the end but everything so far has been excellent and I would recommend Adonis to any US couple looking to try IVF and hopefully become parents.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I was really hesitant at first, because I’ve never done anything like this before, but Kirstie did a great job of answering all my questions & concerns, in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using this service.

At the beginning, I was very hesitant about having my surgeries, especially the idea of having them in Turkey, which is a country located across the ocean of where I come from, the United States of America. When I initially started my research, I came across Flymedi, and I strongly believe that connecting with them was the best decision I have made in regards of having my desired surgeries. After entering my contact information, I was contacted from Flymedi by an agent named Abud. On one hand, Abud has been a great assist and support to my journey, as he was involved in every step throughout the process. He was very responsive to all my concerns and inquiries before and after the operations. On the other hand, everyone at the clinic that I was referred to (EstEthica) was very nice and welcoming. The in-person consultant on site (Lamia) was extremely helpful and kind. She, along with the whole clinic staff, made me feel so comfortable and made the whole trip seem as smooth as possible, despite the discomfort after the surgeries. In terms of the results, I can not speak of this just yet as it has only been a week since I have had my operations. However, I will definitely come back within a couple of months to update my review and speak about the results and any other additional notes along the way. In a nutshell, all I can say that I am grateful for everything so far, and I truly appreciate everyone that was involved in this process! P.S. as a word of advice, if you are having a hair transplant operation, I highly recommend having it at least 3 - 4 days before your departure flight back home, as the post operation instructions are a bit intense and not being in a rush would significantly help with the recovery process.

Recommended For Liver Cancer Treatment

The association between liver cirrhosis and cancer is well-known, and many specialists recommend regular screenings for liver cancer symptoms to their patients. The symptoms of liver cancer involve a feeling of fullness while eating, abdominal pain, and loss of weight or appetite, but also these symptoms can be attributed to other diseases as well. If the patient is in the risk group, it is crucial to have regular screenings.

Not Recommended For Liver Cancer Treatment

Just like in any other type of cancer, for liver cancer treatment chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy is the key, specifically in its later stages. Some of the patients might not be able to get these treatments because of their overall health state and other medical conditions they have.

Overview

Liver cancer is a common type of cancer that affects patients all around the world. Also, liver cancer is a quite resilient cancer type. Unfortunately, the survival rates of liver cancer are low. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to any probable signs or symptoms of liver cancer as soon as possible. Generally, as a result of chronic liver diseases, liver cancer develops. Therefore, it is possible to guess who is at risk of suffering from liver cancer. After that, a cancer treatment that usually involves chemotherapy and radiation therapy can begin.

Preparation

There is no specific preparation for chemotherapy and radiation therapy. However, it is recommended to have a healthy lifestyle before liver cancer treatment starts. Additionally, it is recommended to inform the doctors about the medical problems you suffer from and the medications you are taking. This way, your cancer treatment can be planned according to your needs.

How It Is Performed

The liver resection option is only possible for the patients who are suffering from stage 1 liver cancer. In the later stages, liver resection not performed because it is highly ineffective. Rather, a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy is performed as a traditional cancer treatment.
• During chemotherapy, strong drugs are used to fight cancer cells. These chemotherapy drugs can be injected or swallowed as a pill.
• In radiotherapy treatment, a dose of radiation is given to the patient in two possible ways: either as an external radiation therapy that includes a special machine that emits radiation from the outside or as an internal radiation therapy that involves the injection of radioactive elements into the bloodstream.
Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are not one-time treatments; rather, they involve regularly planned sessions.

Recovery

The recovery period of chemotherapy and radiation therapy is a long process that might last for months or even years. Even though these treatment techniques offer to prolong the patient's life, still they have many side effects that may be experienced for a sometimes even after the treatment is completed.

Risks

The radiotherapy and chemotherapy as a treatment for liver cancer might cause some complications involving:
• Infertility
• Lung problems
• Heart problems
• Damage to other organs
• Nerve damage
However, these risks and complications can be managed with medicines.

Side Effects

Liver cancer treatment involves some side effects such as:
• Diarrhea
• Memory and concentration problems• A general feeling of weakness and being constantly tired
• Nausea and vomiting
Many patients who get chemotherapy and radiotherapy for liver cancer get used to managing these side effects. Also, not all of the side effects are experienced by all patients who get liver cancer treatment.

Success Rates

Liver cancer is a resilient cancer type. Therefore, the survival rate of liver cancer is low in comparison to other cancer types. Stage 1 liver cancer patients have a 5-year survival rate of 50-70%. Stage 2 liver cancer success rate is thought to be about 20 months, while stage 3 liver cancer patients live with chemotherapy and radiation therapy for the average of 6 to 11 months. For the patients who are suffering from stage 4 liver cancer, the doctors mainly focus on easing the pain because unfortunately, there is no effective treatment.

Before And After

Even though liver cancer treatment includes many side effects and might cause some complications because of strong drugs used during the procedures, still chemotherapy and radiation therapy guarantee prolonging the patient’s life and in the stage 1 liver cancer – might help eliminate it along with liver resection.

When Can I Have a Liver Resection as a Liver Cancer Treatment?
Liver resection is an effective option for patients who have stage 1 (stage A) liver cancer. In the later stages of cancer, liver resection does not give effective results. Therefore the specialists perform mainly chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy
Have Many Side Effects. Isn’t It Better to Resign from Them? While chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment used in liver cancer treatment has many side effects, they also are effective in prolonging the patient's life or assisting a total eradication of liver cancer. Therefore, these treatments are still highly recommended.

Are There no Alternative Liver Cancer Treatment?
Novel kinds of liver cancer treatments are developing, including targeted therapy. However, liver resection in stage 1 liver cancer treatment and chemotherapy with radiotherapy in later stages of cancer are still the primary means of fighting with liver cancer.
