Made my trip overseas so much easier!

Yasmin was extremely helpful, friendly and made planning my trip so much easier. I don't know what I would have done without her! She told me how to get a travel visa and luckily warned me of any travel restrictions that were going on! I had to rebook my trip twice due to covid & restrictions and Yasmin handled everything on the hospitals end. One of the times I had to rebook it was because my layover was in london and Turkey banned all incoming travel from the UK. The airline never notified me so if it wasn't for Yasmin warning me I would have gotten on the plane and been stuck in london! Going overseas to a country you've never been to before to get plastic surgery can be scary, having Yasmin made it a lot less scary knowing you have somebody there that's on your team to help you.

Long waiting times in UK…

Because of long waiting times in UK hospitals due to Covid19, I hit upon the idea of having my bilateral hernia surgery done while on a 2-week holiday in Antalya. After making inquiries through Yasmin, I had a short but comprehensive consultation with an eminent surgeon Prof Alihan Gürkan and my operation was scheduled for a day halfway through my stay in Antalya. It went well with keyhole surgery, I stayed in overnight and was discharged the next day, which gave me 6 days to recover before my flight home to Scotland. Yasmin kept in touch throughout, making sure I had transport to and from the hospital, and a special thanks to Fatma, my mentor and guide at the Memorial Hospital on my day of tests and examinations. I telephoned my surgeon a few days after the operation for advice on removing my plasters and he was most helpful and reassuring about my complete recovery. I was not too fond of the breakfast, but considered it as another form of medicine! My flight home was amazingly comfortable without painkillers, although they were definitely needed for a few days after my operation. In conclusion, I would be happy to have other treatment like this, though in a nice sort of way I hope never to set eyes on the Memorial Hospital again. 🙂

A very positive outcome

A very positive outcome, following my decision to pursue in having dental cosmetic surgery/treatment carried out in Turkey. Excellent advisory skills by Flymedi rep Abud. He was professional, well informed, and followed me up with total attention throughout the whole process. Last but not least, I thank Dr Ahmed Kumsan and his team at Infinity Smiles Dental Clinic for their commitment and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Thank you Flymedi

I was considering several different options, however Abud was by far the most committed and helpful of all the agents I'd been in discussions with. Everything was organised for me and I was guided throughout and if I was feeling apprehensive about anything or had any questions Abud was always on hand to answer my questions and give reassurances. I'm so happy with the results of my operation and I was left overwhelmed by how friendly and supportive everyone was throughout. If you're considering using flymedi then I can honestly say you'll be delighted with the service both before during and after your surgery.

Overview

Varicose veins treatment, otherwise called varicose vein removal or vein stripping surgery is an operation carried out to get rid of varicose veins.

Varicose veins are veins that turn out to get twisted or enlarged. While the term generally mentions to the veins in the legs region, varicose veins can show up in nearly every body parts.

Varicose veins are somewhat usual in the superficial veins of the legs, because of increased pressure put upon them while standing. It is not merely a cosmetic issue, but also a well-being one. Lacking treatment, this condition can as well result in:

● Leg swelling
● Venous eczema
● Skin thickening
● Ulceration
● Deep vein thrombosis

Varicose veins treatment, otherwise called varicose vein removal or vein stripping surgery is a harmless operation since the majority of the blood circulation in the legs region is performed via the deep veins, not the superficial veins which are vulnerable to developing to a varicose. For that reason, the veins may be detached without any issues.

Preparation

Patients should take a number of tests, for instance, ECG, blood tests and ultrasound scans, before the varicose veins treatment. These tests are done so as to guarantee that the patient is suitable for the operation.

How It Is Performed

Varicose veins treatment operation can be completed either under general anesthesia or local anesthesia. It relies upon the place of the veins.

When the anesthesia entered, the specialist will continue to make one or more incisions in the impacted vein region. At that point, a particular kind of wire will be brought into the vein, profound enough to bind to it. The wire is then pulled out, along with the affected vein. The small incisions are then sewed up, and the region is enclosed by dressings.
A pressure bandage, with a compression garment, may likewise be used. Patients may be requested to stay a night in hospital, in medical supervision.

Recovery

The compression garment has to be worn for no less than 10 days after the varicose vein removal operation. Patients may go back to work and usual activities in about 1 to 3 weeks after the operation. Hot showers should be stayed away for the initial 2-3 days after the vein stripping operation.

Risks and complications of varicose veins treatment may involve one or more of the accompanying:

● Pulmonary embolism
● Chest infections
● Varicose veins recurrence
● Nerve injury in the operation site

The exercise routine should, to begin with, short walks, before progressively returning to more physically challenging activities. Patients may sense their legs sore or painful during walking, but it supports to lessen the risk of deep vein thrombosis after the varicose veins treatment is done.
