Angela went above and beyond my expectations. She is very friendly and you can always feel at ease contacting her. She made sure I was comfortable with our choice of surgeon Dr. Can Karaca and set up a video call for me. Always ready to help and answer any questions (she would always be available despite the 7 hour time difference)! I wasn’t really sure about traveling to Istanbul, Turkey for my procedure until I met Angela and she explained everything from start to finish and stood behind her words to always be of assistance. Mind you I have been researching for months now for a good doctor and went back and forth between waiting 2 years to get my surgery done in Canada or even traveling to Mexico for it! I was thinking Turkey would be a difficult route due to time difference and the distance but I’m very happy I chose to go to Turkey with Flymedi and I’m glad my agent was Angela Sabou! Do not hesitate to work with Flymedi and especially request Angela if you can!!! - a very satisfied client

Adonis Fertility International Caring Professionals

After trying IVF unsuccessfully in the US for many years Maria from Adonis Fertility International gave me hope. I was very impressed by her work ethic and I trusted she would work hard at helping us become parents. Her communication was top-notch. I choose Adonis because of Maria and then worked with Amy, Nancy, and Ivanna and ALL were Amazing. Everything is broken down for you in steps and very organized. There was always someone there to answer a question you may. Its been a very smooth process, with all the legal documents and made transporting the biomaterial stress-free. We are still in our beginning stages and I will give another review at the end but everything so far has been excellent and I would recommend Adonis to any US couple looking to try IVF and hopefully become parents.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I was really hesitant at first, because I’ve never done anything like this before, but Kirstie did a great job of answering all my questions & concerns, in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using this service.

At the beginning, I was very hesitant about having my surgeries, especially the idea of having them in Turkey, which is a country located across the ocean of where I come from, the United States of America. When I initially started my research, I came across Flymedi, and I strongly believe that connecting with them was the best decision I have made in regards of having my desired surgeries. After entering my contact information, I was contacted from Flymedi by an agent named Abud. On one hand, Abud has been a great assist and support to my journey, as he was involved in every step throughout the process. He was very responsive to all my concerns and inquiries before and after the operations. On the other hand, everyone at the clinic that I was referred to (EstEthica) was very nice and welcoming. The in-person consultant on site (Lamia) was extremely helpful and kind. She, along with the whole clinic staff, made me feel so comfortable and made the whole trip seem as smooth as possible, despite the discomfort after the surgeries. In terms of the results, I can not speak of this just yet as it has only been a week since I have had my operations. However, I will definitely come back within a couple of months to update my review and speak about the results and any other additional notes along the way. In a nutshell, all I can say that I am grateful for everything so far, and I truly appreciate everyone that was involved in this process! P.S. as a word of advice, if you are having a hair transplant operation, I highly recommend having it at least 3 - 4 days before your departure flight back home, as the post operation instructions are a bit intense and not being in a rush would significantly help with the recovery process.

Recommended For Coronary Artery Bypass Graft

Patients who are suffering from heart angina can be the candidates for coronary artery bypass surgery. However, it is important to focus on the coronary artery obstruction. The patient can be considered as a candidate for coronary artery bypass graft when the coronary artery obstruction is higher than 50%. However, it is still depended on the cardiologist’s opinion, since the operation is invasive, open-heart surgery.

Not Recommended For Coronary Artery Bypass Graft

Patients who are suffering from coronary artery diseases with a significant blockage in their arteries can be candidates for coronary artery bypass surgery. However, it should be discussed with a cardiologist to decide on the patient’s suitability for the procedure.

Overview

Coronary artery bypass graft (shortly: CABG) is a type of heart surgery that is performed to bypass clogged or partially clogged coronary arteries in the patient’s heart. The left coronary artery and the right coronary artery are responsible for the maintenance of oxygen to the heart. However, these arteries might be blocked with plaque, as a result of aging or an unhealthy lifestyle. The plaque influences the heart in two different ways – firstly it might be blocking the light of the blood vessels or, when ruptured, it may result in a blood clot that would cause cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, cardiologists decide on performing the coronary artery bypass graft to avoid the development of such serious heart problems.

Preparation

The coronary artery bypass graft is an important operation that requires proper preparation before the surgery with the guidance of a cardiologist. Initially, the patient should have some tests, such as a blood test. This way, the cardiologist would be preparing properly with the information gained from the tests, and the results can be used to compare the patient’s condition before and after coronary artery bypass graft as well. Also, your doctor should be informed about the other illnesses you are suffering from as well as the medications you are taking. Your doctor may ask you to stop taking some of the medicines before the operation, such as the ones with blood-thinning qualities. Also, you should stop eating and drinking several hours before the surgery. Finally – make sure that your personal matters are solved and organized – during the recovery period, you should rest rather than run errands.

How It Is Performed

While performing the coronary artery bypass graft, a blood vessel is taken from the patient’s body, which is usually from the leg then surgeons try to attach it to the coronary artery below and above the blocked or partially blocked part of the vessel. The need for several heart bypass is depended on the size and the number of narrow passages/clots, according to need double, triple, or even quadruple bypass surgery can be performed.

Recovery

Coronary artery bypass surgery requires a long recovery period. Just like in any other kind of open-heart surgery, the recovery period of coronary artery bypass surgery must be long enough to confirm that the new heart bypasses are working properly. During the first week after the operation, the patient needs to stay in the hospital under the supervision of a cardiologist and a medical staff. After that, the patient can return home, but for couple weeks the patient should not be doing any strenuous activities. Six weeks after the coronary artery bypass surgery, it is possible to return to work and continue your regular life. However, the total recovery period of heart bypass is estimated to be around 12 weeks.

Risks

The coronary artery bypass graft is a complex operation. Just like the other kind of open-heart surgeries, coronary artery bypass graft has several risks and complications as well. These include:
• Disturbances in proper blood circulation and pulse, for example, atrial fibrillation• Fluid or blood in the lungs
• Anemia
• The abnormal healing process of the sternum
• Infections
• Sepsis
• In extreme cases - death

Side Effects

After the coronary artery bypass graft patients may firstly experience some amounts of pain and functioning problems in some areas such as during physical activities. Yet, with time the pain would be eased, and the patients would regain their mobility.

Success Rates

Coronary artery bypass graft has a high success rate with only 3-4% of failure of the procedure and resulting in the patient’s death. Also, there is a possibility of experiencing some complications, but these can be usually managed by cardiologists. Coronary artery bypass graft that is open-heart surgery has a high success rate around 90%. Therefore, it is thought to be relatively a safe heart surgery.

Before And After

After the coronary artery bypass graft, patients who were suffering from heart angina before are usually relieved from this cardiovascular disease. Many patients can return to a more active life, and it is possible to enjoy the benefits of coronary artery bypass surgery for up to 10-15 years after the procedure.
