Excellent Service from Abud of Flymedi

Abud was excellent in arranging my visit to Istanbul for both Eyelid and Hair Treatment. I decided to combine both treatments at Estecenter due to the clinics reputation. recommendations and also Abud's guidance. Abud clearly communicated the types of treatments available , estimated costs , all treatment schedules , travel logistics , hotel arrangements and daily transportation to and from clinic. Through responses coordinated between Abud and Estecenter he answered all my questions beforehand and was concise in the cost of treatments being communicated by Estecenter . Truly excellent service and i highly recommend you engage Abud as this leaves you know worries in relaxing during and after your very important treatments that you waited so long to have done Also i decided to stay and additional 7 days , at my own cost in Istanbul, to help my recovery.

Life changing !

I had a massive operation with a full body lift that actually required 2 separate visits to Turkey which was very daunting for me to commit to but I’m so happy I did. I’ve never felt comfortable in my own skin and really struggled with my body especially after having 2 kids. It was really nice to do something for myself and Luna clinic made the experience hassle free for me. They were there for me from beginning to end through both visits and it couldn’t have gone better for me. Thank you so much for the life changing operation and experience.

Recommended For Vaginal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy

Vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy may be a response to several medical problems, involving the collapse of uterus, fibroids, endometriosis, and others. Although hysterectomy is performed abdominally in cancer patients, transvaginal hysterectomy may be performed in some cases.
Hysterectomy surgery varies according to its scope. Uterine removal operations are as follows:
• Partial hysterectomy – just uterus is extracted in this hysterectomy practice
• Total hysterectomy – in total hysterectomy practice, specialists extract not just uterus but additionally cervix
• Radical hysterectomy – radical hysterectomy includes the resection of all areas of the female reproductive system
Vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is a type of radical hysterectomy because it involves not only the removal of the uterus but also the removal of the ovaries. Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy during a vaginal hysterectomy may be a precaution for patients with ovarian cancer in the family history.

Not Recommended For Vaginal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy

Patients with uterine enlargement or uterine or cervical cancer cannot have vaginal hysterectomy but may undergo abdominal or laparoscopic hysterectomy. In addition, transvaginal hysterectomy may not be performed in cases where the cervix is narrow or the vagina is narrow.

Overview

Vaginal hysterectomy procedure with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is a type of surgery that aims not only the uterus but also the removal of the ovaries. In addition, this operation is performed through the vagina, unlike abdominal and laparoscopic hysterectomy. Vaginal hysterectomy is often preferred because of the short recovery period. However, it is not possible to perform this operation in cases where the uterus is larger than usual.

Preparation

The preparation process before bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and vaginal hysterectomy should begin with informing your doctor about your medical history and the medications you are using. In this way, the medical team can make preparations for uterine removal and complications that may occur during the procedure can be prevented. It may be desirable to discontinue certain medications you are taking before trans vaginal hysterectomy.

In addition, before your vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, you should not eat or drink anything before the surgery.

How It Is Performed

Vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpenophorectomy is usually performed with general or local anesthesia. In vaginal hysterectomy, doctors reach the uterus through the vagina and the uterus and ovaries are removed in this way. In some cases, a laparoscope can be used to provide better vision. If a complication is encountered during a hysterectomy, doctors may decide to continue the surgery with a large incision in the abdomen. After completion of the operation, the sources of bleeding are closed and the healing process can then begin.

Recovery

Because it does not contain a large incision, the recovery time of vaginal hysterectomy is rather short compared to abdominal hysterectomy. After the operation, the patients stay in the hospital for 1 night. The patient is then free to go through the healing process at home. The recovery time after vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is estimated to be about 3-4 weeks, but to return to work life can take 6-8 weeks.

Risks

Although the risk of complications is low in vaginal hysterectomy, there are still some risks. Excessive bleeding and infection risk visibly lower than abdominal hysterectomy. Other complications in hysterectomy are caused by blood clot formation and internal organ damage.

Side Effects

The main side effects of hysterectomy are infertility, menopause and low mode due to hormonal change. Side effects, such as infertility and menopause, are due to permanent removal of the uterus, but are clearly better when considering the risks associated with uterine cancer.

Success Rates

There is no definite data on the success rates of bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and vaginal hysterectomy, but the success rate of the operation is estimated to be around 90% like the others.
