My experience was great!

I was worried that I would have my surgery in a foreign country alone, but Luna Clinic made me feel right at home. They attended to my every need right away, and I didn’t feel alone even for one second. Thanks for everything. My experience was great!

Excellent Service from Abud of Flymedi

Abud was excellent in arranging my visit to Istanbul for both Eyelid and Hair Treatment. I decided to combine both treatments at Estecenter due to the clinics reputation. recommendations and also Abud's guidance. Abud clearly communicated the types of treatments available , estimated costs , all treatment schedules , travel logistics , hotel arrangements and daily transportation to and from clinic. Through responses coordinated between Abud and Estecenter he answered all my questions beforehand and was concise in the cost of treatments being communicated by Estecenter . Truly excellent service and i highly recommend you engage Abud as this leaves you know worries in relaxing during and after your very important treatments that you waited so long to have done Also i decided to stay and additional 7 days , at my own cost in Istanbul, to help my recovery.

Life changing !

I had a massive operation with a full body lift that actually required 2 separate visits to Turkey which was very daunting for me to commit to but I’m so happy I did. I’ve never felt comfortable in my own skin and really struggled with my body especially after having 2 kids. It was really nice to do something for myself and Luna clinic made the experience hassle free for me. They were there for me from beginning to end through both visits and it couldn’t have gone better for me. Thank you so much for the life changing operation and experience.

Overview

Even though it is not as common as tumors of colorectal cancer, breast cancer, or lung cancer, bladder tumors are pretty common. For the patients suffering from early stages of bladder cancer and superficial bladder cancer, bladder tumor removal surgery can be performed. Occasionally the treatment process may involve chemotherapy or radiation therapy to be able to abolish the tumors completely. Bladder tumor removal is a different kind of a procedure in comparison to cystectomy and bladder removalsurgery. During the bladder tumor removal surgery, only the bladder tumors and surrounding tissue are removed, whereas cystectomy involves the removal of the total bladder.

One of the symptoms of bladder cancer is blood in the urine. Doctors are able to identify bladder tumors by examination. Through this way, doctors can start planning the bladder tumor removal surgery or another kind of treatment for bladder cancer. Further symptoms of bladder cancer are often experienced in time, which sometimes makes it late for the surgery. These symptoms include pelvic and bone pain and unpredicted weight loss.

Preparation

For bladder tumor removal operation, there are not many preparations needed. However, your doctors should be informed about your medical conditions and medications you are using. Besides that, before the surgery, you need to fast for a couple of hours. Afterward, you will be under anesthesia and taken to surgery.

How It Is Performed

Bladder Tumor Removal Surgery Step by Step
Surgeons choose to do Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT) so as to perform the operation of bladder tumor removal. Surgeons make no incisions in this type of operation. Instead, they perform the operation by reaching the bladder through the urethra. During the operation, the cystoscope is used, which is a type of endoscope, including a camera.Using cystoscope, your medical team will perform bladder tumor removal surgery. Then, cuts inside of your bladder are sealed by cauterization, and your bladder tumor removal is finished.

Recovery

After the surgery, you may experience bleeding for around three days. After that, you can be released from the hospital. Recovery time of bladder tumor removal recovery is very short because of the absence of incisions. However, it necessitates good care after the surgery. The first couple of days after the surgery, there will be a catheter in your urethra so as to urinate. Also, you may feel pain after the operation, but it can be eased with painkillers.

Risks

There might be some complications occurring after the bladder tumor removal surgery.Complications may involve extreme bleeding, the formation of blood clots, and harm caused to the patient's bladder. Yet, these complications can be handled with the help of the medical staff.

Side Effects

After the surgery, some of the patients need to urinate recurrently, but mostly it is a temporary situation.

Success Rates

Although there is no clear data regarding the success rate of bladder tumor removal surgery, it is thought to be very efficient in terms of bladder tumor treatment and treatment of early stages of bladder cancer.

Faq

-Is Bladder Tumor Removal the Only Bladder Tumor Treatment Possible?
There are other options for the treatment of bladder removal, which involve chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy. However, for the treatment of bladder cancer (early stages) and superficial bladder tumor, transurethral resection is believed to be the most effective one.

-How Long Is The Bladder Tumor Removal Recovery Time?

It only takes a couple of days to be released from the hospital. Except for the experience of minor side effects, you will be alright. This is mostly due to the fact that transurethral resection of bladder tumor is an incision-free procedure.

-What is the Difference Between Bladder Tumor Removal and Bladder Removal?
The key difference between bladder tumor removal procedure and bladder removal surgery (Cystectomy) is the scope: in the first one, only tumor and surrounding tissues are removed, while in cystectomy doctors proceed to resect the whole bladder.
