I travelled all the way from US by myself to come here and get rhinoplasty done, my surgery was a week ago by Dr Hasan duygulu he is extremely professional and excellent at his job. My whole stay was made very easy and comforting by Kate, Sultan and Enes. I have been coordinating with Kate this whole time from the start till the end. She has been amazing throughout and ensuring. They all were there for me when i needed them and even after. It was a great decision for me and i m totally proud of myself that i was able to find the best and proceeded with it. I thank everyone part of luna clinic and the hospital for your kind and loving hospitality. I will recommend coming to Dr Hasan to everyone and anyone without any hesitation

I would highly recommend Flymedi and Abud

I would highly recommend Flymedi. My mom had a gastric balloon fitted at the Luna clinic and everything went smoothly. When I was looking for a clinic in Turkey I found Flymedi as medical tourism, I contacted them by email and they got back to me in a short time. I was assigned Abud as health coordinator and I don’t have enough words to thank him. He’s professional but on top of that he loves what he’s doing and he does really care. As I said before I don’t have enough words to thank Abud and Flymedi and I’m so happy I made the right decision by choosing them. If you want to have the bed experience choose Flymedi and you won’t regret it.

Rhinoplasty 12 days ago- Luna Clinic- Dr. Hasan Duygulu

I had my rhinoplasty done exactly 12 days ago with doctor Hasan Duygulu. Before flying to Istanbul, I was very scared of doing this somewhere far from home but , from the first day of our arrival I knew I chose the right clinic; we met Sultan at the gate of the hospital, she was extremely nice and accommodating and organised, she comforted and still comforting me with answering every question and concerns possible and was with me through the whole before, during and after process which I am still experiencing btw. At the day of the surgery we met doctor Hasan, he is very nice and professional, I told him what I wanted and he took pictures of my face and showed me what my nose could approximately look like after the surgery and addressed my concerns and questions which were a lot btw :) he came to visit me right after I woke up and the next morning as well. The hospital was very luxurious and the nurses were very nice and all our needs were met perfectly, everything was super organised and easy. Today I removed my cast and I am very happy with the results as early as it is with the swelling I am very satisfied and I cant wait to see the final results which seem to be very close to the pictures he showed me. Thank you Luna clinic and especially Sultan for making this life changing decisions the best decision I made. The whole experience was easy, trusted and comfortable thanks to you

I would definitely recommend booking through Flymedi.

If you are thinking about surgery in Turkey, I would definitely recommend booking through Flymedi. Abud was my contact and is there for you 24/7. He was quick to respond and did his very best to answer every question and keep me calm in what can be, a new and scary experience. I would highly recommend and you can be sure you are lucky if he is your contact. The hospital was very clean and staff were very professional and kind. The doctor did an amazing job and I am thrilled!!

Totally recommend

The whole process went really smooth from the beginning, it was really easy to communicate with them. I had my mommy makeover done in June, 2021 and the only thing I regretted is putting off my surgery for some years because I did not want to travel abroad, but in the end it was all worth it. The prices are much lower and I was happy with my surgeon (Prof. Omer), he is such a friendly person and an amazing surgeon as well. I love my results and I've never felt so confident in my body, even before the pregnancy. I can recommend Flymedi and my surgeon in particular.

Recommended For Abdominal Hysterectomy

Abdominal hysterectomy can be performed for a couple of different reasons. One of them is heavier than normal periods. Among other common reasons for hysterectomy belongs pelvic pain for which other treatments proved insufficient. However, most of the time, abdominal hysterectomy is performed for the treatment of tumors such as fibroids and various cancers, involving uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer.

Not Recommended For Abdominal Hysterectomy

Many patients are suitable for abdominal hysterectomy unless the patient is suffering from other health problems which might cause risk for the procedure. Though the possibility of pregnancy is crucial in this procedure. Removal of the abdominal uterus either as a total or partial hysterectomy leaves no chance for pregnancy. Therefore, hysterectomy is mostly chosen as the last option when all the other treatments fail.

Overview

Hysterectomy is a surgical operation that is performed to remove the uterus as well as with the surrounding organs. There are several practices for performing the hysterectomy, such as laparoscopic hysterectomy. Abdominal hysterectomy is performed by making an incision in the lower abdomen. Besides the technique of the hysterectomy, the scope of the hysterectomy procedure is also very important. There are different kinds of hysterectomy in terms of its scope, such as partial hysterectomy, total hysterectomy, and radical hysterectomy. Doctors decide on the technique and the type of hysterectomy to perform in accordance with the patient’s medical state.

Preparation

Before the operation, it is very important to talk to your doctor about your medical conditions in addition to the medications you are taking. This way, your doctor would inform you about your preparation for the abdominal hysterectomy and may recommend you stop taking some medicines. Also, as soon as your abdominal hysterectomy surgery is scheduled, try to lead a healthy lifestyle, with a good, balanced diet, free of cigarettes and full of the workout.

How It Is Performed

Abdominal hysterectomy operation begins by making an incision in the patient’s lower abdomen. This way, the doctor removes the organs with accordance to the kind of hysterectomy procedure:
• Partial hysterectomy – during partial hysterectomy patient’s womb is removed without removing the cervix. Though this type of hysterectomy is not very common because of the risk of cervical cancer.
• Total hysterectomy – the surgeon removes both womb and cervix during a total hysterectomy,
• Total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy – in this type of hysterectomy procedure, a doctor attempts to remove not only womb and cervix but also the fallopian tubes and ovaries.
• Radical hysterectomy – radical hysterectomy is the type of uterus removal with the widest scope. During this type of operation, womb, cervix, fallopian tubes, the ovaries, and a part of the vagina are removed by the surgeons. This method is most beneficial as a treatment for aggressive cancer cases.

Recovery

After the operation, patients should rest for a couple of days. After the surgery, the patient might be required to stay at the hospital for around 5 days. However, while staying at the hospital, the patient would be asked to take short walks in order to prevent any complications related to the procedure. Also, during the first couple of days, a catheter might be inserted to the patient in order to urinate as well as gauze inserted into your vagina to prevent bleeding. After that, the patient’s at-home recovery can begin, which might last for several weeks.

Scars After Surgery

Most of the time, during the abdominal hysterectomy, an incision is made horizontally along the pubic hairline. Therefore, it would not be noticeable even when you wear underwear.

Risks

Abdominal hysterectomy has several risks and complications. Although it is rare, during the procedure, doctors may cause damage to the different organs, such as bowel, bladder, or the ureter. Also, internal bleeding might occur due to uterus removal. Moreover, there is a risk for infections, but in order to prevent such cases, patients are supplied with antibiotics.

Side Effects

Abdominal hysterectomy has several side effects. These include:
• Early menopause symptoms – this side effect is related to the total hysterectomy or radical hysterectomy operation when the ovaries are removed.
• Weight gain after hysterectomy – Similarly, this side effect might happen because of the removed ovaries resulted by an abdominal hysterectomy.
• Increased or decreased pleasure from sex – Patients who were experiencing pelvic pain may experience increased pleasure from sexual acts, after the surgery. Though, sometimes the patient may experience decreased

Success Rates

Since there are different types of abdominal hysterectomy, it is difficult to estimate the average success rate of the operation. Though it is known that the rate of patients who survived the uterus removal operation is more than 99%.

Before And After

Patients who underwent a successful abdominal hysterectomy operation can have improved living standards because of the lack of pain, which was affecting them previously. However, they need to get used to some of the side effects of hysterectomy.
